Well done everybody!
I'm not sure how much enthusiasm there is for another round at the moment but I'm up for doing it again whenever you guys are.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
One of P* very best games. It suffers from a notable lack of polish in some aspects and would have definitely benefited from an additional six months of development, but at its best it is completely unforgettable.
Have fun!

I'm sure you already know this but it's part of the Castlevania Requiem double-pack on PS4 too, if all else fails.

Not a fan of procedurally generated content, personally, although it has its fans. I think it's probably worth buying if that and the pseudo-analogue movement are not a deal-breaker for you. Very high replayability, too.

Re: Videogame News
The combat itself was never the draw, the appeal was in how it supported the overall game design. I totally get that, my issue is that if you're going to ask the player to spend 20+ hours with your game, then the primary method of gameplay interaction should reach a minimum quality threshold. If al...

Re: Videogame News
I don't know about "outdated design choices", but all I can say is that I found the movement and combat in ME1 & 2 to be atrociously bad even when they first came out. Bad enough to put me off the series entirely, although to be fair, I'm probably not the target audience to begin with ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Sadly my complete inability to spell and total reliance on spellcheck has once again been exposed. Hey man, it happens. To be fair, the title you came up with genuinely sounds like some cool War of the Roses period thriller. Could have been worse! I’m always surprised how different the chat e...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've been playing at least three or four times through Streets of Rage 4 and enjoying more and more. The most flattering thing I can say is that the developers' love for this particular series is basically oozing out of every sprite. It's so nice to have a game that commits so strongly to a basic fo...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissidence ...[snip]... Anyone else played this game ?? Well that sounds like a suspenseful medieval political thriller, unfortunately the only one that I've played was Harmony of Dissonance . And yeah, it's not that good. Certainly not on the level of the Sorrow games...

Re: What's Out This Week?
And also, I know you were probably joking Leon, but I would argue that SoR4 represents fantastic value for money given the length of the main mode compared to other games in the genre, the cool unlockables and general replayability. No complaints here. Even the trophy list is dope.

SoR4 isn't cheap at all, quite the opposite in fact.
