Re: Games you love because of Cane and Rinse?
Oh yeah me too, I actually forgot to add Ratchet and Clank - A Crack in Time, Hollow Knight, and Castlevania Symphony of the night.

Games you love because of Cane and Rinse?
I came to Cane and Rinse because I wanted to listen to a deep dive into the metal gear solid franchise, and since then I've listened to every episode of games that I already played, so I started playing through the others. Since doing that I have realised that I have games that I absolutely LOVE tha...

Re: Our next podcast recording (27.1.24) - 604: Katamari Damacy series
I had this on my backlog for a long time, and after getting my hands on an original ps2 copy of Katamari Damacy in 2022 I introduced my girlfriend to it as an example of how creative and mental some games can be. We both fell in love with it immediately, and discovered and bought the Re-Roll version...

Re: 563: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
I just finished this last night and its the worst game I've ever enjoyed. The colours are so over saturated and visually sickening and I feel as if the story is delivered like they had been having all the exposition conversations when I was at work. Any dialogue we were privy to is written right on ...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Have you added "Lacuna" to the list. I recently picked it up and hammered through it's 5 hours, and it is a brilliant game. It's like Ghost Trick mixed with Disco Elysium if it came out on the gameboy advance (in a good way).

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
On and off for the past year, or what feels like forever, I've been compiling a list of every game that has been requested on here I'm about two thirds the way through and will update. If you are ever wondering what has already been requested (or what shows have already been made) I made this handy ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've been playing Harvestella which is, aside from Moonlighter and maybe Dragon Quest Builders 2, the first farming game I've played. It's quite tedious and the dialogue and story is brutally boring, the farming is very simple but for some reason I keep going back to it. Maybe cos I bought it at ful...

Re: Games Completed 2022
(March) Dark Souls (Platinum, using Sen's Fortress skip for second play through) - PS5 Hang on, what's the Sens Fortress skip!? You can dodge roll and clip through the scenery and just walk your way into Sen’s fortress skipping everything you would need to do up until then. (not skipping sen’s fort...

Re: Games Completed 2021
I second, third, and fourth this. I was put off by the idea of playing a PSP game, but now I would say PeaceWalker is my favourite MGS game, and I didn't make use of the co-op stuff at all (though I wish I had).

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I'm currently playing through GTA IV , and I've hit the mission that made me rage quit all those years ago. I forgot how absolutely infuriating the lack of checkpoint system is in these games. The story is stronger than I thought, and I am amazed at how in many ways, GTAIV is still better than almos...

Re: Games Completed 2021
Oct - Symphony of the Night - There's nothing I can say about this that hasn't been said a million times before, but god damn. This didn't feel like the birth of a genre in the way I expected, this was absolutely flawless, it had the energy of a modern game made in the style of oldschool metroidvani...

How about The Messenger. That's one of the most outstanding Indie games i've ever played by a long shot, and I've played at least two.

Re: Our next console special podcast recording (17.10.21): Nintendo GameCube
The GameCube was the first console I ever bought myself because of a specific game. I wanted Resident Evil 4 more than anything, and I don't think I blinked until I had finished it. I then went on to collect Tales of Symphonia, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Killer 7, Resi 1,2 and 3, Twin Snakes, all...

The Forgotten City
It's so charming and interesting. Like Majora's mask mixed with Skyrim. (It is also short so you could probably have an easy week after this one)

Re: Games Completed 2021

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
Though it is nearly double, it is also less than PS Plus, and equates to almost any other streaming service of music or movies. I am happy to pay 35 a year just to have all those games at the drop of a red hat. The fact that it's a tier is great, I feel like allowing you to keep the traditional tier...

Re: Our next podcast recording (23.10.21): 492 - Condemned: Criminal Origins
Condemned was so popular when the Xbox 360 launched that my manager in GAME didn’t allow me to buy it on day 1, as every single launch console bundle relied on chipping away at our finite copies. So I spent that evening playing Perfect Dark Zero, online with my manager, and after a few hours of disi...
