Re: Games Completed 2019

Beat Bowser for the third time in Super Mario 64. I get it, know why people love this, I know why it changed the world and all of that, but it's not for me. It actually made question if I should try a Hat in Time or the future 3d Mario games. I mean, if I can't fall in love with the best...or Donke...

Re: Games Completed 2019

There is a rumour of a hardware revision, yeah. Depending on whether you plan to mod your console, however, you may want to seek out an old model before the new ones hit the market.

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?

We started watching Line Of Duty, because we only watch British police dramas, apparently. Its good. Really good. Yes it is very very good. Ironically I usually avoid British Police dramas but this is top drawer. Haha yeah same here, it's just we've watched Luther and this back to back. I usually s...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?

Yes, only the free version though. I find it useful just when I hear of a film Im interested in to add to my watch list. Outside of that functionality I'm not really aware of what it can do, although I know people says it's great.

Re: One Credit Classics Season 6 Trailer - 23rd Jan

Have you checked out Retry from RKG? They're playing Dark Souls 2 at the moment and it's brilliant. I was a big fan of Prepare To Try, and it's the same IGN guys, now left IGN doing their own thing.

Re: Microsoft Xbox news and discussion thread

Is We Happy Few actually 'finished' now? I know it was in that weird pre-release state for ages. Is it a good game?

Re: Hollow Knight

That's a shame, it really feels like the pinnacle of the genre to me. The music itself is just exceptional.

Does this just do nothing for you?

I think its incredible!

Re: Comic Book Chatter

I'm really struggling to get through the Knightfall saga. I loved it back in the day, but these new trades are so bloated with extra content that really drag the story out. I know it picks up after the second book, and book one was excellent. Just hate Jean Paul Valley as Batman. I've told myself I'...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

I may have missed the announcement, but I saw a trailer last night - I didn't realise the FF IX coming to switch was a full on remake. I assumed it would be a straight port of the PS1 original but the trailer seemed to have all new graphics and everything. Looked quite nice. Anyone here getting it?

Re: Hollow Knight

I know this makes me sound like a spoiled brat, but I can't help feeling a little disappointed it's a fully fledged sequel based on a character from the first game. As DLC I could probably get behind it, but I kind of hoped for an entirely new story and world with all new characters for a sequel, bu...

Re: Red Dead Redemption II

Most of those statements are the exact reason I love it. It's a close race against The Witcher 3, but I think this may be the greatest world ever created in a game. I love the glacial pace, and the way the story doesn't hurry you along for most of the time. It does, in places, and there is a sense o...

Re: Games Completed 2019

I thought the Street Fighter The Movie The Game was the scrolling one, like Streets Of Rage style. There was an Angry Video Game Nerd episode on it, although I must be thinking of something else?

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?

I've been meaning to watch Trailer Park Boys for years and watched the first episode on my lunch break today. Seemed OK, will stick with it.

Also, been watching Cowboy Bebop, another series I've been meaning to get in to forever. Three episodes in and enjoying it so far.

Re: Metro Exodus

Fair enough, I do think that initial trailer gave more of a sense of freedom than that, but I could be wrong. I think it probably works a lot better as a more linear game though, there are so many open world games about its nice to have something tighter and more scripted every now and then. Having ...

Re: Metro Exodus

It's literally not an open world game. Why do people keep saying this? I think that was the impression the first trailer gave. I've not watched anything since. I've assumed it's open world in the same sense Crysis was. As in, it's an open map upon which you are free to travel anywhere, but not open...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I’ve been trying out new free stuff on the Switch. I think I like Tetris 99’s fast-paced spin on the game, though I’m still not really sure what these attacking options are all about, which is probably why I can place in the top ten and not much higher! Whilst searching whether this game will come ...
