Re: Ghouls ‘n Ghosts (Daimakaimura)
Foolishly, I lumped my Ghouls n Ghosts on the Mega Drive in with the more recently played Super Ghouls and Ghosts and gave it a wide berth. After listening to the podcast over the last two days, I established that it is in fact a much better, much closer to the arcade version. Which thinking about i...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
How much of a step up in normal from easy ??
I’m at the last level on easy now, once I beat it I’m stepping up to Normal.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
GT Sport is more of the same (for someone who is a Dodgem-car racer). I've never really gotten to grips with the fact that you can just out-tune your car to beat everyone else. I haven't been doing that this time round, so I have a bunch of 2nd finishes and one 1st in the Sunday Cup, and two wins i...

Re: Videogame News
Game don’t actually make any money from actually selling games (or very little at least). The majority of their profit, as I understand it comes from like you mention - and other gaming paraphernalia. Stopping the acceptance of previous generation games and even selling them will allow for more Soni...

Re: Fallout 76
Still enjoying it, although the story quest I’m doing at the moment is taking me to some pretty high-level areas and I don’t like the robot NCP that I’m conversing with. I much prefer the holotape, terminal quests that you have to read as opposed to the quest giving characters – it adds to the immer...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
So i purchased tetris effect with the money and finding it alot more rewarding but why does the game suffer from framerate dips and affect the input in a laggy way? It puts a delay on the controller input and severely knackers the run Mate, I saw on Twitter that you mentioned this - but I can’t thi...

Re: Red Dead Redemption II
In my experiance the ‘Grading’ system at the end of each mission is irrelevant in terms of how the story progresses and seems to only be worth something upon completing the game and adding some replay-ability to the missions. It is slightly immersion breaking I suppose but then again so are the cont...

Mass Effect A is £6 in CEX mate.
Not that that should make you want to play it mind, there’s many better time sinks available.

Re: Games Completed 2018
Oct 9 - Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Switch) A simple but fun puzzle game. The motion controls from the Wii U era are awkwardly implemented on the Switch. Beating the time trials requires perfection or close to it which is why I stopped trying for 100%. Man, tell me about it. I think I did the f...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Currently we’re all neck deep in PSVR.
It really is a great party piece.
Tetris effect got some serious praise for being wonderfully accessible and a truly massively immersive experience.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Mate, it was very fulfilling.
We generally tend to have a rocky relationship with this set of parents due to where we choose to live and etc.... so this was a moment of bonding that was immensely cherished on my side.
I don't care what he thinks .

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
So my in-laws from Wales are currently staying with us, doing the early Christmas thing. Earlier today Di was having a snoop about in my office looking at my games and spotted Quackshot on the Mega Drive and was suddenly adorned with flashbacks of playing this years and years ago when the kids were ...

Re: Best games podcasts - your clicks needed!
That redhead from What’s Good Games is tick, but I do have question marks over her Eurogamer Pub Quiz credentials - so I know where my vote is going.
Pretty impressive achievement mind, that list has some big, big hitters in it.
Congratulations guys and gals - deserved.

Re: Videogame Deals
Anything longer than that and my hunger and curiosity kicks in. Yeah, I struggle with long games, especially ones I approach on a whim. For instance, Horizon, I looked at because I felt I had to look at it and never quite got into that. RDR2 I was very excited for and prepared to sit at for days - ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
All these positive impressions are wonderful to read, but there's absolutely no way I can justify paying 35€ for any kind of digital game, especially without VR. It's sooo tempting, though! Yeah, it’s expensive. Most things considered, what ever way I look at it, I do think it’s a tad rich.
