Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I wonder if the PS5 will launch with a GT game? I really hope so as it's been a long time since GT Sport and even though it takes them a long time to make GT games, I think I remember Yamauchi saying a couple of years ago that development shouldn't take as long going forward. I'm with you on this, ...

Re: Retro gaming

Yeah I saw your JogCon posts Suits - it's a beautiful thing! I was very tempted to pick one up, and may still do it if I really fall in love with RR4. One of the games I'm most excited about. I’d be more than happy to drop in a box and post it to you if you wanted to try it - like I said, it really...

Re: Retro gaming

Nice, I just finished RR4 (NTSC-J like the one you have there) with the NAMCO JogCon controller and had a blast with it over a few nights.

Great little adventure you’re on there dude 👍🏽.

Re: Retro gaming

Yeah, there is more to the library than Rondo of Blood alone. I’ve purposely not mentioned that game 😄, even though I’d be lying if I said the majority of my interest in the console wasn’t based around my current infatuation with that game 😄. But yeah, clearly there’s way more to it than just one g...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

You playing the PSP version of Gran Turismo or is it a hacked console? The PS1 version of GT plays great on PSP and Vita. The PSP version of the game was really impressive, technically, looked really nice, but it was such a missed opportunity with such a bare bones release. No career mode, nothing ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

PSP OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast Gran Tourismo (had to start all over again as I switched form a 1003 to 3003 series PSP) Castlevania Collection (just beat Death on stage 5 of RoB, I was stuck on him for like a week) Xbox One Borderlands 3 (with three of us and it's fun) PlayStation Ridge Racer 4 N64 ...

Re: Perplexing Peripheral Purchases

Just in case anyone was wondering (I'm sure they weren't) but I very much enjoyed my time with RR4 and the JogCon controller. It takes some getting used to but after a bit of fine tuning it was bloody brilliant fun and very much impacted my enjoyment with the game. A few times I picked the controlle...

Re: Retro gaming

Today I bought a PC-Engine CD ROM2 and interface unit. I'm very pleased with myself. https://i.imgur.com/lwkJByY.jpg?1 It's rather scruffy and dirty at the moment so I'm looking froward to giving it a thorough clean and freshen up. It's all working and in order. However, there's some work that's goi...

Re: Perplexing Peripheral Purchases

Did anyone have any of the weird PS1 pads that Namco put out? But the JogCon really wasn't much of a thing... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/JogCon.png I messed around with one of these today after seeing one come up for cheap on eBay. It was a little dusty but was essentially ...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

Federation Force 2 confirmed. Honestly, me Dez and Simon has a wicked time with this the back end of last year. We played it solidly over a few weeks, online with our 3DS’s and finished it as a group. A new, updated version, on the Switch would be very welcome. The worst thing about that game is th...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Also been playing A Link Between Worlds, and while I'm really enjoying it... I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I'm 3 dungeons deep and it kinda just feels like "another 2D Zelda". It's well-produced, but it feels like Link To The Past with a few new gimmicks. Maybe that changes lat...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

So it's the Color Splash combat system sans consumable attacks? That sounds good on paper (pun not necessarily intended), but it also lacks a bit of the variety that came from the earlier games in the series. Timed button presses keep your attention, but having to learn new systems and/or consider ...
