Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Not sure whether it was a sync issue or what but I couldn't get past the mouse clock level. Yeah, I found that level really hard too. There were some levels that I found really, really challenging, but if I walked away from it for a while, I often had more luck when I came back to it fresh. But the...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've been feverishly playing Rhythm Heaven Fever for the Wii. I've been singing the praises of this series for a little bit on this forum and this game is just as much fun as the previous two. I'm still working through the final stretch of remixes, but I saw the credits last night and man they are g...

Re: Games completed 2017
15/01 - Hidden My Game By Mom (Android) I came to this via gallo_pinto's earlier post. It's mildly amusing with a weird satisfaction loop to keep you playing. I didn't appreciate being bombarded with ads though. There's even an option to 'earn' a tip by watching a video. Filthy. I want to experienc...

Re: Games completed 2017
Jan - Cave Story (3DS) It was a really busy week and I didn't have much time to play any games. When Saturday rolled around I spent all of it on the couch playing games and knocked off a few (very!) short games. Jan - Hidden my game by mom (iPhone) Jan - Hidden my game by mom 2 (iPhone) I saw Patri...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I've actually kind of excited about that aspect. I can emulate NES or SNES games whenever I want. But popping in each month to try the game Nintendo has picked and play it competitively sounds neat.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
All true sir, although I still reckon you can generally find at least a little better than RRP on everything if you're patient and vigilant. I think the amount you can save below RRP is pretty slim though. I recognize that I'm a bit bitter about this, but I do miss being able to play current-gen (s...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
You're right to some extent I think Leon but Nintendo hardware generally holds it's price pretty firm. Wii U's and the various accessories are still (or certainly were last time I checked) pretty expensive. Nintendo just don't drop their prices like Sony and Microsoft do. Games wise their first par...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I like what we saw of Mario Odyssey. That hat mechanic seems like it would give the Nintendo wizards a lot of creative platforming to work with and wall jumping skyscrapers as Mario sounds fun! Have they mentioned anything about backwards compatibility with the Wii U? I'm assuming if they're rerelea...

Re: "Classic" Catch Up
This is my kind of list right here. I would love to experience all of these games again as if it were my first time playing them. These are some of my top all time favorites, minus the Persona games which I have never played. I was probably 9 or so when my brother and I got an SNES Super Set for Ch...

Safe: The new Mario game from the first trailer will be a launch title (Haven't there been rumors of that already?).

Now I'll definitely need a new 3 word review!ratsoalbion wrote:The "P-Word" is one we actually try to avoid, guys.
Though there is something of a qualifier here so I'll consider it for inclusion!

Yeah, for as many platforms as it's been released on, it's a bit surprising it never made it over to Vita.Alex79uk wrote:Really wish they'd pull their finger out and finally get round to releasing this for Vita. I've got the homebrew version on PSP, but would much prefer a native Vita port with trophies etc.

Re: Games completed 2017
Jan - Cave Story (3DS) First completion of the year! I played the 3DS port of Cave Story (not Cave Story 3D). I'm currently listening to the Cane and Rinse episode on it to help me clarify my thoughts. Cave Story falls into the "I respected it more than I enjoyed it" category of games for ...

5th January - Arkham Origins (Wii U) First up, this is my favourite sort of Batman tale. Basically it is Year One / Long Halloween / Batman Begins in tone. And the story arc you go on hearing about a guy called The Joker, meeting him and then finally sectioning the lunatic is really well done. It's...

Re: Games you like more than the consensus
Remember not to use "underrated" so Leon doesn't delete the thread! Wait, is Leon really that harsh? What's the agenda here? Is there a poignant backstory involved? :D Haha, I just know it's (rightfully) a pet peeve of his with three word reviews on account of it being a statement on the ...

Games you like more than the consensus
I've been on this forum for almost a year and a half, but this is the first time I'm creating a thread. Apologies if I'm breaking any forum etiquette! I went back two years to see if this topic already existed and couldn't find anything. Feel free to yell at me with a bunch of angry emojis :twisted...

So if you're after something a little different, something rather tranquil, and you enjoyed Flower (and in fact I didn't even really like Flower that much!) then this is definitely worth giving a try. Have a go - it's only three quid. I'm coming to this thread WAY late, but did you ever finish this...

I was looking through old threads and I stumbled over this one. I really like this thread and I wanted to bump it back up to see how people have done on their "Classic Catch Up." Have any of you all made any progress over the last year or so? Love the idea of "Classic" Catch Up a...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've just started playing Severed on the Vita. Heard about it last year but wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Have never played this kind of dungeon crawler before. All the ones I've seen on 3DS always seemed a bit too heavy, but this one is relatively short I think and it saves often too so I c...
