Went live on the consoles overnight. Was then pulled for a bit on XBO as it was crashing, but is live again now apparently.

The only major change consoles have that the PC version didn't get was that Torbjorn and Symmetra turrets do less damage now to compensate for the less precise aiming players have with joypad. Looking at the raw numbers (30% reduction!) I think that might be overkill and make Symmetra in particular unplayable.

The D.Va changes will make getting her achievements a little easier now, I can't actually remember the last time I managed to kill someone with her ultimate, everyone is so practiced at getting to cover now.

Have to say, I'm a big fan of Ana. I used to swap between Hanzo and Lucio, but I can see Ana becoming my main, as she's a bit of both.

D.Va is an absolute monster now, she survives toe to toe a lot longer now you have full control over deploying the shield, and not having to get clear of your own reactor overload means you can pick off people as they panic to get away from it.

Zenyatta seems viable now, seeing a lot more people playing him than before. He's more mobile, and has better survivability than before.

Ana doesn't hugely suit my play style, and at the moment she's getting over picked in quick play games so it's hard to judge her effectiveness. More than 2 of her on one team and you're sacrificing too much damage, she needs targets for her ultimate to be at her most effective. Playing as Pharah and getting a buff from mom is great, so much damage.

Not yet sure about the console only debuff on the turrets.

I do like how D.va now feels more like a tank with the way her shield works. It's easier to protect my teammates with it. And it used to be so much harder to get kills with her ult.

I don't know if it's just me, but maybe they buffed her a bit too much. I've noticed that it's now easier for her to shutdown ults since her shield can be up a lot. I wonder if she'll get a nerf sometime soon.

I think she's now doing what they originally intended her to do. She's still countered by the same things she was before, that being that's she's hopeless at range so widowmaker and pharah mess her up, but now she can actually tank on an objective, which she couldn't really do before. There'll be some tweaking of the Max charge level for the shield though, it might be a little high at the moment.

She benefits hugely from being buffed by Ana, more so than the other tanks simply because of her fire rate.

It also feels exacerbated by other balance tweaks. Quite a few McCree players aren't used to his changed range and damage yet, they're still expecting to be able to stun/fan and take her out, which can't happen now due to the changes to his output.

Yeah it definitely seems like this is how they wanted people to play as her. But I'd have to agree that the max charge on her shield is too high. I'm finding it a bit too easy to take advantage of right now.

I haven't gotten the chance to try McCree since the patch. Before they nerfed him I'd play as him a lot. Then after the nerf I was terrible as him so I switched to Soldier 76 as my offensive main haha

Despite what I said earlier, it looks like I won't be continuing with Ana. She's great, but she's two roles in one, and I prefer to specialise. So it's back to swapping between Hanzo, Lucio and Zarya. Despite "enjoying" playing as Hanzo more, I think I'm most effective when playing as Zarya. Got a good handle on her flow now.

There's a bit of a tweak to Ana coming today to the PC. Increases her fire rate a bit, gives her a larger magazine, and also means the sleep dart will always pin someone for at least half a second rather than currently where it can be instantly cancelled if your team are being dumb and shooting at the person you're trying to sleep.

I'm settling into my favoured characters now I feel. Pharah, Junkrat, D.Va and Mercy.

I'm not too bad with Hanzo on some maps, and on a few others I'll play Lucio because there are lots of spots to shove people off cliffs. In general I'm awful with McCree, Zenyatta, Genji and Reaper. I just can't get the hang of them at all.

I was in a similar position as you Flaybo, I've forced myself to play characters I couldn't get my head round such as McCree, Zenyata, Reaper, Genji, Roadhog and Zarya. They are generally not my preferred play style, especially the close range guys. The first 3 are coming a long but I'm not great with them, it has been cool learning a different play style but it can also be frustrating. I can't play Genji / Roadhog / Zarya well at all though, it's just not a style of play I am accustomed to, It's very easy to switch to a well used character when I'm getting beat :D

I really enjoy playing Pharrah, Soilder 76, Mercy and D.Va at the moment. Tjorbern used to be on the list but his nerf has made him a less viable option for me . I personally think his nerf was too much, I never had a problem against Tjorbern. I would have preferred they scaled the damage over time rather than an overall nerf, for example the turret does half damage for the first 3 seconds of lock on and then increases to 100% over time.

I've played overwatch nearly every night since it's launch, I'm going to take a break until a new character or map comes out. It's probably game of the year for me :)

Some interesting map glitching. This is the kind of thing speed runners look for, although speed running isn't really a thing for a game like Overwatch. (It's also a fun demonstration of how they have all three arenas in the Nepal map in memory at the same time)

In a related note, I was playing last night and a D.Va player took a really weird route at the start of Volskaya that I hadn't seen before that involved flying around the outside of the map.

Good evening all.

I've recently traded in Overwatch on PS4 and have taken up the game on PC. But as I've only bought my PC this year, I don't really know anyone else who has a gaming PC or play Overwatch. If anyone is interested in a game feel free to add me. Would be great to meet new people. Cheers slimTANKv2 #2997

I would hardly say that your a "bad person" for not playing a game. As there is know upgrade system such as battlefield, you wont be at any disadvantage just jumping in whenever.

Playing more Overwatch. I'm over lvl 25 now, so I went through the competitive mode placement matches and did fairly well! Zarya is definitely the character I work best with, that is set in stone. Will probably try to stick with her during competitive play.

I'm level 125 now I think. That's because Overwatch was pretty much the only thing I played up until the launch of WoW Legion. (I don't know how I didn't get burnt out lol) But now WoW has been taking up most of my time spent gaming. I went back to Overwatch for a bit the other night and it felt so weird after taking a break for so long. I really like the aesthetic of the new map though

How come this thread's such a ghost town? Have you all given up on the game? I'm still playing this regularly, despite the usual multiplayer nonsense you're bound to run into from time to time. It's a fantastic feeling when everything clicks and your team is coordinating properly. Definitely more of a social experience than most multiplayer titles I know. Comp can be rough, though.

I'm still playing regularly as well. Been trying the get that Tracer skin before the anniversary event ends! It is best to play this game with a group of friends you click with. When I'm playing solo I lose a lot :( Also I main Ana now. Recently I realized that I enjoy playing support the most, and I find her the most fun. But she thrives with a well coordinated team. Something that's hard to find when queueing solo
