Downloading takes a while, and I don't want to use up all my monthly download quota on games, so once I download games I tend to hang onto them.

Also, the Switch is doing pretty well, and there's a good chance it'll be around for a while, so who knows what the next few years will bring. I just like to future-proof early on with storage space - it's a bit easier than rearranging and reorganising later.

So far, the best application I have seen and used first hand of HD rumble - is in Skyrim.

While lockpicking, if you slowly move the degree of the lockpick, very finely, the HD will react when you pass the sweetspot of the lock - it's brilliant, makes it much more engaging !

It's only very slight but its certainly there.

As you level up your skill, the signal of the sweetspot becomes more pronounced.

When using the Pro Controller, not only dose it feel more accurate but you can also hear it in the motor.

Like I said, this is the most effective use of the HD Rumble I've see so far (apart from that silly ball in box game in 1-2 Switch).

I'm really looking forward to testing out the tit massage stuff on Senran Kagura. Sounds appalling.

Literally, HD Rumble is used to give haptic feedback on a tit massage.

I'd download it for the sheer novelty if it weren't so horribly shameful and gross. I'm still recovering from 1-2-Switch.

Fairly sure their usual EU publisher has actually passed on this one.

Never fear - there’s a reason that the Switch is region free! ;)

Of course, save it for public transport- that’s what it’s for, right?

So I've imported a NTSC (US) version of Resident Evil Revelations for the Switch as I like physical games.

The cart seems to work fine, as usual but the download code, won't go through.

I suspect you need an account native to the country it's from for it to download.

Am I correct in thinking it's just a case of creating a second profile on my Switch and setting that US ?? Then I'll just be able to play the game on my profile as normal ??

I believe so! I bought Sonic Mania from the Russian store because it worked out several quid cheaper and it was pretty straightforward.

Piece of piss to do but I'd look for a guide. The only other thing to remember is to pick a state which doesn't pay tax on digital games, such as Hawaii.

If I haven't mentioned it enough times already, I'll also say that the South Africa eShop is often 20-25% cheaper than the UK store, and you can just pay with your UK debit card or credit card! No codes or anything required. I really really wish I'd known that nine months ago.

Yeah, nailed it.

Was as simple as changing the wife’s profile to US.

She don’t care, plus I can now redeem the gold Nintendo points from my US games (not that you can do sod all with them anyway).

On the My Nintendo Rewards thing, I heard that the points are only redeemable for a year after the games release, so be warned.

Plus, come April, Switch games will start to become a year old and their points begin to expire from your Nintendo account. Now, Nintendo will surely have to do something for Switch owners regards this otherwise potentially users will have redeemed their points, then had them expire, without even the chance to use them. Madness.

Just give us some themes or something !!!

So I have games from the UK, which were the only English version I could get in Hong Kong.

Does this mean I have to set an account with a UK region to use them?

Cartridges are perfectly fine.

It’s only downloadable (digital) software that requires to be redeemed on the region of issue eShop.

Got it, thanks.

Also:

Bayonetta 1, 2 and 3 are all coming to the Switch.

Unfortunately, B1 is a download code. :/

Oooo, I missed that. Nice.

Looks smart I think, with some great trinkets. Download code for B1 though.
