Videogame Deals
Re: Videogame Deals
Heads up for Android users but there's a fully functional version of the Crazy Taxi arcade game for free (with a few ads which are skippable) on the Play store right now. I just tested it and it works great!

Seems like a bit of a deal that, I might give it a whirl .

Re: Videogame Deals
It's...OK...I bought it on release and just found that it wasn't an awful lot of fun. Even when there was bugger all on the Switch, it didn't sustain my interest. I think it looks charming, it's got an interesting control scheme which you definitely get better at - it's all so laborious, though. There's no sense of achievement, for me, but rather an absence of failure if you don't die. It's so slow paced you seldom have any feeling of motion or freedom or skill. All 'in my opinion' and I know Darren played it, too, but I don't think he had much more positive stuff to say about it.
For the money, I'd even say World of Goo is more worthwhile, or save a couple of quid and get a Neo Geo game. Blazing Star is a quality shmup. Oh, Blaster Master Zero is actually pretty cool and more interesting than I initially realised.

Man... I love Blazing Star! I only have the version that comes on the 161-1 MVS cart, and I'm so tempted to get a stand alone copy, regardless of price.
Easily my personal favourite Neo Geo shmup. It's good to see it more widely available.

The variety of ships and readiness of power ups is what makes me keep going back to it. Also, this mind bending pitch shift in the first few seconds of the Stage 1 music. It's such a cool sound and seems to say 'this is it'.
Re: Videogame Deals
Saw Dishoned PS4 & XBox one in ASDA for £10 not even a sale price. Defo going to pick that up
Re: Videogame Deals
I noticed The Room trilogy is listed ahead in Volume Six of the podcast. The trilogy is on sale on Google Play at the moment if you're planning to play along!

Re: Videogame Deals
Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor is currently £4.80 on the Xbox One Store for the GOTY edition, and is also free to play this weekend. Bizarrely it doesn't seem to be in any of the deals pages.
Also seconding Dishonored 2 for £`10 in ASDA! Great shout!

Maybe it's often like this, but there are lots of great price drops on PSN for PS3 games:
Demon's Souls €5
Dragons Dogma DA €5
Binary Domain €5
Bayonetta €4
Deadly Premonition €6
Yakuza 4 €6
Okami HD €4
Plus many more (and all the Resident Evil and Metal Gear games as per usual).
No Dead Space 1 though

Deus Ex Mankind Divided limited edition is £19.99 on Games website on xbox one and ps4. Pretty sure it was £120 at launch
Re: Videogame Deals
They're good prices for trying out some 'lesser' games that may have been skipped over at the time too. I picked up Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for a fiver.KSubzero1000 wrote: ↑July 18th, 2017, 6:34 pmDamn, these are some great prices for some truly exceptional games. Fantastic value for money here.
The Mass Effect Trilogy is on there for €9.99 today as the Summer Sale has just started. No eye-watering PS4 deals that I can see, though there are some decent reductions.
