Didn't get on with the GameCube game, or the Wii U game.

But I'm on board for Smash Ultimate - I'll give it another go, with an open mind. Again.

I agree completely man.

I'm hoping that I either get caught up in the wind of it all and stick with it to enjoyment, or something finally clicks with me and I'm in.

I want to like it, so I'm halfway there I suppose.

It's a party game for me. I dont play Smash to frame count or any of that stuff. Go in and enjoy the ride. Find a main character and just settle with him/her and experience the wonder of a videogame nintendo museum

Yeah man, I’m going in not trying to expect anything more than a bit of fun.

Seeing as there’s no Roy :| , I’m thinking I may go Olimar as he’s a Governor also.

Dunno, I’m keen and I’m ready for it, got sod all on this weekend really, so I’m going to hit it up and see what’s what.

SSBU is supposed to incorporate every single character in the history of the series, as far as I know. :)

Haha, whoops! You can't just name drop a FE character and not expect me to instantly make the connection!

I've also never really got into any Smash or particularly enjoyed the limited time I played on Wii and Wii U but I do remember one great half hour against a couple of mates in China. One had played a load of the GC version so he was psyched for the Japanese Wii pirate copy I had. It was chaos but fun for a bit in that context before we went back to WarioWare Smooth Moves and Ghost Squad or whatever we were playing.

Despite this, I've preordered and cannot wait. I think I'm in a different place and into different games these days for one thing, and I think online will be a big difference to the Wii days and the arse end of the Wii U days. I haven't been so pumped for any release since Dark Souls Remastered.

I thought that the alt colours for Bowser Jr in Smash were each of the Koopa kids?

If that’s the case, it’s decided then.

Fucking hell. DayZ finally gets a release! Absolutely no interest in a post-PUBG world but interesting nonetheless.

Looks like we're getting both R-Type Dimensions EX on Switch, Steam and PS4, as well as Scintillatron 4096 on PS4 this week. Good time to be a shmup fan. I'll probably grab the former, but I'm also curious about the latter. Anyone else?
