Yeah, meant it wasn’t that much fun for me this week, you’re all better than me and not in the ‘just better to learn things from it’ way but the ‘you will lose and have no idea why’ way.

It would be really nice if the 'winner stays on' rule could be changed for lounges, so that everybody actually gets to play against everybody and not just everybody vs the elite 3 players, I think.

I can imagine that being less fun, yeah. I personally felt like I crossed that barrier where I started catching on to guys like Steak, Jinkkai and Alter (Hans) just enough to where I was able to win the odd match and that kind of progress really felt good.

Jinkkai's Ed completely befuddled me last week, but last night I was able to take 2 rounds in a single match against him!

It's a shame that Street Fighter V doesn't have a tournament mode like Tekken 7, that's a great mode that allows everyone to play at least twice at the same time. Perhaps a rule such as after 3 wins the winner has to pick a random or gives up their spot would work?

Yeah, we might have to create our own rules. I believe you can manually give up your spot, do you know how to do that?

Yeah, the two players who are next up have the option to go to the end of queue by hitting the options (start) button and selecting the relevant option at the waiting screen.

Cool, let’s introduce a forfeit after 3 wins as our own rule, then.

Sounds good. My homework this week is to figure out counters for Laura and Menat when hemmed in by Sakura and Chun Li and give Zeku a spin

The other way to drop is that if one of the two players readies up and the other doesn’t, it counts them down 10 seconds then drops them to the bottom of the queue.

I realised after we finished last week that I was being way too greedy at the expense of other people's fun and that's completely antithetical to the purpose of these nights. Apologies. 3 and off is ideal.

No worries! We never had a very clear purpose in mind to begin with. :)

I’m probably not about this evening, watching a space rocket maybe explode and other chores to do. May change my mind later though.

Hi all! I've been messing with M.Bison and I'm looking to give him a wee test drive. If anybody's available for some sparring today/this evening, let me know. Otherwise, see you on Tuesday. When, for me, it will be Tuesday.

Re-posting!

With Karl added, I think the list is up-to-date. LMK of any changes/additions.

CFN Fighter IDs (Forum):
RatsoAlbion (Leon, PS4)
CarterCommaJ2 (James, PS4)
Flabyo
mikeleddy83
beck1110 (Beck)
SteakEater (PressEscToExit)
Xer0Signal (Sean, PS4)
Domsbeard
RobC-UK (RobC)
Jinkkai
CarterCommaJ (James, PC)
magicjoef
RoodOne (Michiel K, PC)
Stanshall
NokkonWud (Karl, PS4)

I removed the 'Others' section, because it's been a bloody age since I asked if they were okay for me to list their CFN IDs here, and I don't want to step on any toes.

Hey guys, I'm feeling very under the weather tonight and the only thing I'll be hitting is the sack... early! Do feel free to set up a lounge without me though!

SFV tonight?

Don't forget to grab the Epic Battle rewards. Being on once a week for a community night is a handy opportunity to grab the costume tokens, etc. This week the third gem/token for Chun-Li's June costume is still up for grabs, as is the first part of Ibuki's Monster Hunter costume (both 2 days left). There's longer to complete the Monster Hunter 'Proof Of A Hero' battle, but you may as well do it ASAP.

Get it done! :-D
