FFS! Why whenever I post to play Battlefield is there a MASSIVE update that needs downloading.

Forget it, I won't get the 4gb patch in time for tonight as I actually need to use my internet for other things today.

Unless I can just skip this update at the moment because I'm not getting aftermath?

Nope. Sorry Joe, update is mandatory on all formats if you want to play online.

Crazy. 3.8gb update seems banonkers.

What on earth are they patching in? Anything less than giant robot spiders from space and I'm calling lazy optimisation on the devs.

Last patch was 1.63 gigs. Sounds like you got two patches to download there mate. Latest one and the previous one.

It's only a couple of weeks since I played though, was it 1.6 for consoles maybe? My BF3 folder is already 22gb, I think EA need to remember not everyone is on fibre broadband yet.

I've fallen for BF3 pretty hard again. Not sure why, maybe all the 4 talk, but I'm playing more now than I did when 3 first came out!?
