GTA Online (PS3)

Post by mikeleddy83 »

With the worst of the problems out of the way and an incoming patch due sometime today to rectify any more issues it's been great so far to get some short 2 player online sessions going. The old rule of the more players available increases fun exponentially applies and I'd love to get a whole group together.

I'm thinking somewhere from 8pm onwards today on Friday 4th October.

So, is anybody interested (even prepared to give it another shot if you had a dire first experience as I've read most to have) or willing to post a better time and date?

Is it true that the character creation, tutorial stuff etc. takes up to like a couple of hours?

Only as it is right now, unless the patch fixed it. It should probably take a half-hour, 45 minutes, ideally.

Took me about 2 hours last night, once it finally let me in.

jumping in now, add me on twitter: @michael_ledward if you've hosted and we'll get invites sorted. Tutorial ranges from 30 mins - 2 hours, just follow the white text at the bottom of the screen and any messages on the phone. In doubt your phone is now synced up to your friend list so you can give phone calls to people to get voice chat from either different servers or even from the single player mode.

Given that tute time I won't be able to hook up this evening, but I'll look out for C&R gang members over the weekend.

Yeah, I can see so many of you but the invite option is closed to me until you've done the tutorial, it's roughly a race, a team deathmatch, a random event and a garage visit. I think I might've been around level 4 - 5 by the time it was over. Message me if it's done and I'll get back on with the invites.

Edit. Sorry peeps, thanks for the effort but the rockstar cloud servers seem to be on the verge of collapse. If anyone can get through the tutorial it'll help when I try to get another game together over the weekend. I'm thinking of making it a closed clan server so if you're not on the cane and rinse crew then get signed up asap and try to make it the active crew. I managed to get in there for a closed crew session but by that point the friend list server had gone down and even xmb invites were impossible so it's a tricky situation.

Thanks again all, really surprised by the number of people prepared to make an attempt tonight! :D

Played a couple of hours tonight with no problems at all, hopefully the latest patch has stabalised this. For now.

A proper session of this is needed! All of the silly billies are playing on 360. Us cool kids need to rock GTA online as a rad posse!

Anyone want to play tonight?
