Sadly my friends list is full so I cannae add any new folk...

If you're new to joining the Mario Kart 8 game night then let me give you some simple steps in getting into the Cane and Rinse lobby (without sounding patronising)

You can either join through the friends list should a friend be playing. Under the Friends and Rivals section, you'll see a friend as online with a little flag next to their name. Select the player and join race.

Or you could enter the tournament code as listed in the original post.

Steps

1) One Player - Online
2) Tournament
3) Search Using a Code
4) Enter 0955-3016-6644
5) Race!

BTW, wrote a piece for Vice about the future of the Wii U if anyone cares to read it. Name dropped this forum (again) in terms of being a great place to sign up for some online, community Wii U gaming. So we best organise some Splatoon / MK8 nights now!

Shall we organise this again sometime soon?

Haven't ever managed to make one of these sessions yet but would dearly like to try out these new DLC tracks online!

Played this online last night as I needed a break from Splatoon and after a lengthy Arkham City campaign.

Still such a joy to play. Was surprised how many people were still online too. I was pretty rusty but always ended up around the middle and scrapping for a podium place until the final lap. Really gonna miss MK8 when they one day move on from the Wii U...

I had a play for the first time in ages and really loved it too (apart from the Excitebike track appearing and being voted on far too much).
Probably the 2nd best Kart after Super

Once, yeah. Lackluster turnout lead me to believe no one was interested?

I'd happily give it a go. Wasn't a forum poster when you last did it IIRC

Really sorry here, thought it was way too late notice but a few of us planned a game earlier for about an hour before your post. Completely forgot to post it but the take home message was clearly that we'll be doing it again very soon.

Add everyone from the gamertag thread and feel free to jump in if you see me online.

Any chance of some friendly, fun MK8 online in the coming days in these uncertain, silly times?

Can always do it another day - when suits best?

Also, anything we need to do in advance? Sign up with others? Organise a room? Have never done a private race on there...

Are you postponing tonight? I'm still about but probably not too late today if that's the plan
