Superbrothers: A tale of Sword & Sworcery, eternally retold

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is a collaboration between designer Craig Adams, developer Capybara and musician Jim Guthrie. A ‘none more indie’, multiple high-concept piece which questions certain conventions of game design while paying homage to others. Released first in 2011 for iOS devices, this oblique title intrigues and charms many, but alienates others. Leon, Tony, James and Joshua discuss the game in full and there’s also a contribution from the absent Karl. Furthermore we even squeeze in a handful of your Three Word Reviews. Look behind you – a Grizzled Boor!

Music used in this show is as follows:

Track 1: Lone Star by Jim Guthrie

Track 2: Unknowable Geometry by Jim Guthrie

Track 3: The Prettiest Weed by Jim Guthrie

Cane & Rinse 47 was edited by Darren Gargette.

Great podcast as always,James echoed pretty much all my gripes with the game and I oddly agree with him on the moon thing even if it's kinda of the reason i stopped playing the first time,I cant say I felt really moved or had an spiritual experience, maybe on the jamming session on jim guthrie, but still it's a pretty cool game and I think I can appreciate it a little more after all it's a one of a kind.
