Super Meat Boy - Cane & Rinse 97

Using the foundations laid down by a 2008 flash game, Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes crafted what would become one of the most talked about and well loved digital releases to hit Xbox Live Arcade and PC. Combining precision platforming, with a charmingly juvenile sense of humour, Super Meat Boy catapulted the two halves of Team Meat into indie super stardom.
Additional audio used in this show is as follows:

Track 1: Main Theme by Danny Baranowsky
Track 2: Betus Blues by Danny Baranowsky
Track 3: Escape! by Danny Baranowsky

Cane & Rinse 97 was edited by Sean O'Brien.

It's not just the "The Kid" warp zone that doesn't limit you on lives, it's all of the warp zones that give you a character at the end.

That makes sense but I never had any problems other than The Kid to notice!

Well, it seemed dumb to write the same stuff I always do!
It was an excellent podcast guys, I always look forward to a cast about a game I've enjoyed.
I take my daughter out to Brownies on a Monday evening, so i had a couple of hours spare while waiting in the car. I was watching some speed runs on my phone, and I was amazed to see that it's possible to complete the entire game in about 17 minutes.

I never really seemed to get myself into full swing with meat boy, and spent most of my time using the other characters because their abilities made some of the levels easier for me.
Commander video has the floaty jump, jill falls slower the faster you mash the jump button, gish was handy for wall and roof sliding over gaps and ogmo with the double jump for a last minute save.
Having watched the speed runs (and as it was pointed out in the podcast), it seems that the best way to play is to tape down the run button and to use meatboy.
I'll see if I can get some free time and give it another go this weekend see if I can get myself through the rapture!
