Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists
Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists
Don't mean to be a party pooper and I really appreciate the lists but can we keep them behind the spoiler tags to keep the thread a manageable thing?
I've done a couple for already.

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists
Thanks for sorting mine and sorry for being such a newbie.
Skipping back to NokkonWud's comment, you listed a bunch of stuff I didn't include in my list such as Bioshock, Mass Effect, Fallout 3... And you can add Portal and Heavy Rain to that list of games that I have a completely irrational interest in playing. In fairness, I have played Heavy Rain and Bioshock, but their story lines just didn't grab me.
All the others, whilst I've listened to others rave about them endlessly, just hold no interest. Possibly down to my anti-populist character - I could replace those games with the music of Amy Winehouse or Adele or many others that may be great but I'll happily go to my grave without hearing. Same for watching Game of Thrones and 24.
I wonder if anyone else has missed out on big name games because of a similarly irrational disinterest?

YouTube. Capturing that footage would have been a pain.

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists
After much deliberation, cogitation and digestion I have finally got a list that I'm comfortable with. I did try to rank them, but I'll never settle on an order for more than a couple of minutes so I put it back in alphabetical order.
http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/iwattt ... 2013/84046
There a still a few titles I'm gutted not to have found room for (999, FATALE: Exploring Salome, Beyond Good & Evil, Wanted: Weapons Of Fate ). Originally I was going to stick to a 'one game per franchise/series' rule, but I quickly realised that I didn't have to because I'm predisposed to enjoy one game in a franchise/series significantly more than others. Hopefully that will be enough to sate Karl (that and the inclusion of two Hitman games in the list).
P.S. If I ever become comfortable enough with video editing I'll put a video together to showcase my selections. But first things first I have Dark Souls to finish and a Demon's Souls NG+ Quick Rinse to record!
P.P.S. BioShock Infinite and Dark Souls threaten to make a mockery of that list in the next week or so.

I'll forgive you for Heavy Rain, because it's a bit shit, but you have some making up to do for BioShock!stvnorman wrote:Skipping back to NokkonWud's comment, you listed a bunch of stuff I didn't include in my list such as Bioshock, Mass Effect, Fallout 3... Yeah I realized that midway through editing XD I was trying to capture a moment from each game that explained why I liked them and by the end I had this 30 minute monster that took 10 hours to upload....lesson learned.Combine Hunter wrote:Protip for video makers: 20 seconds per game! Lol

Bioshock lasted longer in my PS3 drive than Duke Nukem Forever and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City if that's any consolation.NokkonWud wrote: I'll forgive you for Heavy Rain, because it's a bit shit, but you have some making up to do for BioShock!

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists
It's fascinating seeing how certain patterns of games are starting to form, I reckon you could come up with around 20 games that feature on most peoples lists.
Also fighting the urge to dig deeper into some of the choices like Todinho going with Jak 2:Renegade or GSMason going with Super Monkey Ball 2

I think the patterns within people's lists is interesting. Even among those with fairly broad taste, you can see exactly what it is they value most from games.

Hi All. I'm new to the forums but a long time C&R listener, so thought what better way to kick off than post my top 50! I've probably missed off plenty but I've spent far too long agonising over it already so here goes.....

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists
Thank you sir for the correction and the complement! Can't quite forgive myself for rating Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis above Golden Eye and Bioshock but it's done now and that's the kind of move you can never go back on....

If you edit your message you'll see where the spoiler tags are. An easy fix!Sinclair Gregstrum wrote:Thank you sir for the correction and the complement! Every one of us could stand a stern questioning about our choices, but equally well we have the right (and responsibility) to pick whichever games, in whatever order we like. Your list is a really interesting insight into your gaming past; lots of SEGA inclusions are an excellent thing to see.
