Resident Evil 4: Ultimate HD edition, yo.

Really enjoyed re-playing the new and improved port on Steam. There's one slight hitch with it running at 60fps. It severely affects the QTE's in which they're almost impossible. I had to knock it back down to the 30 in order to complete those sections of the game. Not ideal when you're 3-4 checkpoints (not saves) in on a Mine Cart section and it requires you to do one right at the end!! FUMING.

The Yawhg(PC)-fun little game,it's more of a choose your on adventure book really but it's really cool you get to paly as 4 characters all doing things and having their own but interconnecting stories in a town until a mosnter called the Yawhg comes and destroys everything there's some really interesting scenarios that can appear but I think playing this solo is not the best option it would probably be better if you get 4 friends with each playing as one character, still pretty cool and each playthrough doesnt last longer than 20 minutes so it's perfect for a lunch break.

Sounds interesting. Is it worth a go, Todinho?

Yep I'd say it's worth it,it's better played with a group rather than alone but at the current price I'd say is worth it even if you just intend to play alone,I also think that this is a game you might get easily bored since it's just text windows but if you dont mind that and like to explore multiple scenarios it wont be a problem.

05/03 - Shelter
06/03 - Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
08/03 - South Park: The Stick of Truth

I enjoyed South Park but I found that most of the jokes were recycled from the show (as fan service) rather than implemented fresh for the game and although the length was perfect (for me) I found some of the actual gameplay was lacking at times - that said, one of the better implementations of a TV license and I hope we see more South Park games using a refined version of this formula. Very much a 7/10 for me.

Spoiler: show
04 Feb: Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS)
10 Feb: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition (PC)
21 Feb: Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (3DS)
08 Mar: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS)
For me, Monolith Soft's fan-remake of A Link to the Past polishes off the wear and tear of time apparent on the still brilliant original and makes another 3DS classic - and another essential (handheld) Zelda - in the process. Now I'm really looking forward to returning to the SNES game when we inevitably cover the Zelda series for the podcast, as I remember my first play-through of that in 1995 as an almost perfect gaming experience. Coming back to it after ALBW may highlight the age of the original, or perhaps it will further illustrate its impeccable design.

Spoiler: show
02/01 - Tearaway
05/01 - Lego Marvel Superheroes (Vita) - I found this a complete chore to play, it's fun for the first couple of levels and then like the other lego games drags
18/01 - Borderlands 2 - What a game, I was really turned off with the first one. It didn't gel for me and I found it very similar to WoW in the terms of being "grindy". Borderlands 2 has been far more enjoyable, so much so that I've bought the GoTY edition and I'm now working through DLC with a mate.
21/01 - Borderlands 2 - Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's booty
26/01 - Borderlands 2 - Mr Torque's Campaign of Carnage
29/01 - Borderlands 2 - Sir Hammock's Big Game Hunt
19/02 - Saints Row V
01/03 - Dynasty Warriors Next
02/03 - Street Fighter X Tekken
09-03 - Brothers - a tale of two sons

South Park: Stick of Truth (PC)

I went from "Eh, it can wait" to "Holy shit, this is amazing" with South Park. It's this generations Conkers Bad Fur Day and genuinely up there with my favourite RPGs. An absolute triumph.

About 12 hours for the bulk of the side quests (which are highly recommended) and main story. Went back to mop up the rest of the side quests so about 13 hours in total.

Finally finished the inverted castle in Castle vania: Symphony of the Night. Fantastic game that I would never have played if it wasn't for this site.

Canon Spike (Dreamcast) Co-oped this with a friend and it was really good fun, quite surprised it's never had a HD update given the popularity of twin-stick shooters in the recent past. Had a great laugh skating around as BB Hood and Megaman, murdering some of the best-worst-named bosses in the business.

Batsugun (Arcade/MAME) Hammered the virtual 20ps into this one, so not taking any particular pride in finishing the game. The first few levels were fantastic then it got a bit too hard for me to handle. I normally wouldn't push through to the end since I didn't really earn it, but...look at this guy. ICEMAN doesn't lose.
