I might be wrong but I think the start of the second has a ridiculously over powered boss in the first hour which put some people off. It's got the poorest opening bit of the three definitely.ratsoalbion wrote:Ah, right. Well if we cover the trilogy I'll find out whether I agree with ya. I've owned 2 at least twice before but only played the first hour or so each time.

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
I've always wanted to play these games. May finally look into playing them.
Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
Have people already mentioned Dishonored? Coming towards the end of my first playthrough, probably the most impressive game I've played since Bayonetta. A game with such a fantastic art style is rarely matched by superb gameplay and choice, GOTY for me

It's on the list. Haven't even started my copy yet.

One game where I keep stopping to look around and think, this is a game I'd love to do art for
Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
Bioshock 1 and 2 especially since Infinite is due out Feb 2013. The first one has got to be one of my favourite games of all time.

BioShock will happen. It's a case of structure, can't have too many shooters in a row etc. we try to be balanced in that regard.
Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
Can't wait for the Bioshock shows! Definitely interested to hear what other people think of them. Especially as 1 is my favourite game this gen, and 2 got less praise than IMO it deserved.

Ditto, Plus Minervas Den is something very special.Leg of Time wrote:Can't wait for the Bioshock shows! Definitely interested to hear what other people think of them. Especially as 1 is my favourite game this gen, and 2 got less praise than IMO it deserved.

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
Minerva's Den is on par with Fort Frolic as my favourite part of the BioShock games. I can't wait to replay it before the shows.
The depth of narrative in Minerva's Den is astounding, and the condensed pacing (that could have been an Achilles' Heel) actually served to the benefit of the story.

Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
And wasn't it written by the guy behind BioShock: Infinite? If so, that's a good sign.
Minerva's Den really is as good as any part of BioShock 1 or 2, fantastic DLC. I'd go as far as to say it's the best DLC I've played.

Do you mean Minerva's Den or other bits of Bioshock?NokkonWud wrote:And wasn't it written by the guy behind BioShock: Infinite? If so, that's a good sign...
Minerva's Den was written by Steve Gaynor (who's gone onto (with others - some ex irrational) form his own company (http://thefullbrightcompany.com/) and is developing a quite interesting looking game).

Is on my Amazon wishlist.999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
I feel like we've done a lot of Platinum and similar stuff already, plus I have to factor in the the PAL version was shitty bordered 50Hz so I don't want to play it on principle. Still, it is both cheap and short...Madworld
Re: Game Suggestions for the Podcast
Not sure if anyone has mentioned them yet, but the Infamous series would be good I think.

Did you ever play the horror themed download story? Don't think it was DLC, just a standalone thing. It looked good but I never got round to buying it.
