I know this sounds really harsh every time I say it, but this thread is for new suggestions to add to the list of potentials.

Of course we know loads of people would want to hear a Metroid series, and we obviously want and intend to do it at some point.

A deep dive in to some of the Mario/WarioLand handheld series of games would be enjoyable to hear.

The evolution of that series really goes some places.

Unsurprisingly the Mario Land, Wario Land, Yakuza games and Detroit are already on the list.

Surprisingly the HotD games were not, but they are now!

Metal Gear: Solid: Rising: Revengance! With extra nanomachines.
Hollow Knight - one of the best games I have played in the past year.
Trauma Centre: Under The Knife.
The World Ends With You - hopefully a bunch of folk will pick this up on switch if they missed it on DS.
Knights of the Old Republic I+II

Thunder Force series
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Metal Wolf Chaos
All already on the list.

Albino Lullaby

Near Death
Trauma Centre: Under The Knife
The World Ends With You
Rocket Knight Adventures / Sparkster / Rocket Knight
Added to the list (surprised to find that Rocket Knight series, Trauma Center series and TWEWY weren't already on there).

Just a reminder that we already have several decades worth of games on the list, so don't bank on added suggestions happening imminently!

In case it’s not already on the list, I’m going to throw in Minit. Based on my experience with it, I’m reckoning on it being viewed as a cult classic by the time you’d get to it!

Exactly the kind of game I'd get around to playing if I knew it was coming up on a podcast. Good shout!

After listening to the luigis mansion podcast I was reminded of Gregory horror show which is a fantastic curio and something I would love to go back to. I’ve only just gotten over my nightmares involving the evil pink ?crocodile? nurse and her giant syringe.

I also came across my anime dvd collection of the same series which must be an omen.

GHS is on the list. Hard to find now though and PS2 only. I sold my copy years ago but I think a friend might still have it.

If you're already shortlisting for next year, are you looking at doing another series again?

Is it going to become a staple to do all the games in one series every year?

Can I nominate the Shin Megami Tensei series?

We’ll be continuing the Final Fantasy series (VIII to XV). Beyond that nothing is decided at this point!

The deeper look into game series’ over the last couple of years has been extremely enjoyable, even if it’s ones I’m not that personally fond of, it’s great listening along and learning about franchises.

Long may it continue.

Yes I’ve really liked it too and would love to see another series get the same comprehensive treatment. Metroid for example would be nice. I don’t think anyone has mentioned this yet ;)

A few suggestions:

Klonoa: Door to phantomile. And the sequel if you want I guess, but the first one is where the magic is at.

Spyro The Dragon and its first two sequels - with both Crash and Spyro getting revivals the time seems ripe.

Rayman and its sequel

Pony Island

Medievil 1-2

Some of the Classic Castlevanias - Rondo of Blood, the original, Draculas Curse, Super Castlevania. Maybe they can be mushed together in 8 bit and 16 bit era focused shows.

Not sure if I've ever suggested it before, but I was listening to a Peter Molyneux interview the other day, and I think The Movies would make a really interesting episode. I thought it was an absolutely fantastic game, that nobody ever really mentions any more, but it was so cool at the time, I spent ages with it!

(Also, sure they'll be on the list but Theme Park and Hospital....?)

Has Overwatch been mentioned already?

I know that multiplayer-only FPSs aren't exactly your usual niche, but since you already did Titanfall, I suppose this one might be worth looking into as well. Although it should probably be covered before the game dies out completely...

PS: I'll also throw in Infinifactory for good measure.
