Sid Meier’s Civilization

Post by ratsoalbion »

Civ VI is coming to Switch!
https://civilization.com/news/entries/c ... r-16-2018/

Seems like a tall order.
I wonder if - though it carries the Civ 6 branding - it might be an incarnation of the (wonderful) Civ Rev titles for iOS etc.

I can see Civ VI working on Switch and Ipad with minor adjustments. It is far more user friendly than previous numbered Civs.

Have never played a Civ game as they always looked a bit intimidating, but a well thought out and streamlined Switch version sounds seriously interesting to me!

Sinclair, Civ Revolution works as a fabulous ‘training wheels’ version.

The learning curve can be quite steep, and the sheer number of decisions you can make is overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it it's tons of fun. The only downside is that you'll probably have to charge your Switch 2-3 times before you can actually finish a game :)

Civ 6 was already ported to ipad and was pretty well received. I'd expect it to be that version.

I loved Revolution on the DS and the sequel on Vita. I think for anything meatier than that though I'd probably still prefer to sit at my PC.

Yeah, Civ VI seems very touch screen friendly, especially compared to previous games.
