Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
Re: Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
I have no interest in playing the game but I did watch the whole story mode on youtube(interesting time we live in) and I have to say it's probably the best fighting game story mode to date and not only that but it's the story here it's everything BatmanVSuperman should and failed to be, it's really good, also Im no especialist but I think this game has the best facial animations in videogame history so far, Harley Quinn especially is amazing.
Re: Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
I'll be around tomorrow night from 8pm if anyone wants an online scrap on PS4?
Re: Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
Was the first Injustice good? I've got it on PS+ ages ago but aside from a little multiplayer with my eldest, not really played it. I do like a decent fighting game, and if it's got a story even better. Worth playing?

Re: Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
I revisited Injustice 1 in the beginning of May. It's still good, but it was difficult to move back to after the fluidity of Mortal Kombat X. It "feels" kinda rough. The story has some good moments, but is overall weak, especially its climax. It only takes about four hours to get through. Here's my longplay of it if you want to save yourself the trouble.

I'd say just skip to Injustice 2.

Okay, the Cane And Rinse Injustice 2 Guild is a go!
Guild: Cane And Rinse

I'll get no points for originality when it comes to naming the Guild, but hopefully however many of us have the game can join in and share in our collective victories (and defeats). I'm hoping Guild are platform agnostic, but I have the game on PS4.

So not knowing too much about the DC universe villains outside of the Batman and some of the Superman rogues gallery I thought I'd go look up why Atrocitus the red lantern has a pet kitty.
It's quite a sad little story, that ends with the kitty sleeping on the skulls of its defeated foes.

Some of the Lantern stuff is really good.

It does sound like they went overboard on the different lantern corps, though. Apparently the Orange Lanterns represent Avarice?
Re: Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
I think there's only ever one orange lantern at a time. Being the embodiment of greed whenever a new one appears they automatically want to kill all the others to own their power rings too.
The red lanterns seem most interesting to me, the idea that they're spirits of vengeance rather than just evil leaves room for more interesting storytelling. Of course the main one is called Atrocitus because DC doesn't do subtle all that often...

Actually spending some time with Atrocitus in Injustice 2, he... really doesn't seem like that bad a guy at all (get his AI Battle Simulator ending!). He's just really mad about everything, to sometimes comical degrees.
This speaks to me.

So, to string together a comical reference, the Red Lanterns are a bit like Ghost Rider? Or at least how the Ghost Rider is meant to be, without fighting against Mephisto's wishes.

I'm not settled on him, or anything, as there are still a bunch of characters I haven't tried out, but I kinda like Aquaman. Of the characters you play as in Story Mode (both sides of each choice), he seemed like the one I gelled with most quickly; good at multiple ranges and has some useful buttons, for when I panic and can't put a string together (which is very often ).
Triple post? Sorry all!

Outside of who you play in story mode I've only really spent any time with Atrocitus so far (because Kitty).
My highest level character so far is Supergirl, mainly because of her teleport behind you thing which is super useful against zoning characters.
I've pulled mountains of items for Doctor Fate, far more than I have for anyone else, but he seems so dorky I don't know if I'll ever put much time into him...

Supergirl was second on my list. Seems a great all-round character.
I'd chuckle at Doctor Fate being dorky, but I've just admitted I'll be playing Aquaman (King Of The Dorks).

Re: Injustice: GAU and Injustice 2
I had Joker and Batman at level 20, and Harley almost there, but got hit by that rollback bug so I'm having to start over mostly from scratch. I feel like I'm having most success with Batman (most of his combos are started from neutral, so having a lot of attack variety with him doesn't require a lot of skill or practice), but I haven't really settled on anybody as my main yet. Eyeing Robin and Scarecrow for my next characters, though I greatly enjoyed my time I spent with Supergirl. She'll probably be the first non-Batfamily character I spend any time with.
This morning I finally started hitting the inventory cap and had to start selling my greys.

*Furiously Googles "rollback bug"!*AndrewBrown wrote: ↑May 25th, 2017, 8:07 pm I had Joker and Batman at level 20, and Harley almost there, but got hit by that rollback bug so I'm having to start over mostly from scratch.
Robin looked great, but I'm not sure if I can stomach playing a character that obnoxious. Evil, sure, but he just seems like a nasty brat. Can you tell that I'm not good at picking characters?!AndrewBrown wrote: ↑May 25th, 2017, 8:07 pm Eyeing Robin and Scarecrow for my next characters, though I greatly enjoyed my time I spent with Supergirl. I was wondering about that. Right now I'm holding on to everything, because I don't know what I'll want to end up using, looks-wise and stats-wise. Problem is that most of it is for characters I may well never use.AndrewBrown wrote: ↑May 25th, 2017, 8:07 pm This morning I finally started hitting the inventory cap and had to start selling my greys.
