Re: Nintendo Wii U
I'm probably going to ask for this for christmas, so if 3 other people want to join me in co-op around then, that would be great.
Re: Nintendo Wii U
If you're referring to 3D world, I'm sorry to tell you I don't think it has any form of online co-op
The closest you get is "ghost data" of other players' runs through the levels.

Re: Nintendo Wii U
Yeah, but you're all welcome round mine to play (in groups of no more than three at a time)
Re: Nintendo Wii U
That is genuinely the plan for my home when Smash 4 comes out. Cannot wait for that day.
Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread
My son got a 3DS last week for his birthday so naturally I'll be looking after that for him when he goes to bed when I want to haha. What are the essential games? Hes already got the 3D Mario game. Is the Resident Evil game worth playing? Also, I imported a Castlevania game from the US on the normal DS years back. Anyone know if it'll work? I think the 3DS is region locked right, but not sure if standard DS games will be also locked down?
Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread
Speaking of Super Mario 3D Land, Nintendo are giving it away for free when you register a 3DS or 3DS XL and one of 15 games on Club Nintendo between November 27th 2013 and January 13th 2014.
So basically, if you haven't registered your 3DS/XL yet or you're getting one for Christmas... free game!

Good news: You can play DS carts from any region on a European 3DS.Alex79uk wrote:Also, I imported a Castlevania game from the US on the normal DS years back. Anyone know if it'll work? I think the 3DS is region locked right, but not sure if standard DS games will be also locked down?
Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread
But NOT DSi carts. There's not many of those, but they ARE region locked.

Everybody clench your bum cheeks together! We have, in a backwards order but that's why we love Nintendo....
A Link to the Past on Virtual Console this week! Woohoo!

Re: Nintendo Wii U
Nice! I've been waiting for them to bring the game over to the Wii U Virtual Console. Seemed like the perfect platform for me.
Re: Nintendo Wii U
Dammit, that Super Nintendo I bought last week was all for nothing now!

Very nice, a £1 upgrade from the Wii version for me.dezm0nd wrote:Everybody clench your bum cheeks together! We have, in a backwards order but that's why we love Nintendo....

Re: Nintendo Wii U
I have it on my USA Wii but unable to move the games to my PAL Wii U. A shame but completely understandable as to why I can't chew on the juicy £1 eshop fruits.
Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread
Updating your 3DS today and forever more gives you the ability to link your Nintendo Network ID's together as well as post on the Miiverse!
The two machines are slowly and surely becoming very similar. My prediction for them to merge into one powerful handheld with the next generation is becoming more likely by the ... month...

What?! I had to pay £1.49! Ah, who am I kidding, it's more than worth that to play ALTTP on the Gamepad.ratsoalbion wrote:Very nice, a £1 upgrade from the Wii version for me.dezm0nd wrote:Everybody clench your bum cheeks together! We have, in a backwards order but that's why we love Nintendo....

Re: Nintendo Wii U
Well, Raiden sure has had another 60-minute makeover. Good to see another Metal Gear Rising game though; I was worried that Konami would let that side-project fade away. Let's hope the parry mechanic is a bit easier to grasp, and that the final boss fight doesn't illicit so much ire.Scrustle wrote:So this is a thing.
In all seriousness, I've returned to A Link To The Past recently (still the only Zelda game I've ever played), and it sure would be interesting to see a different take on the characters/setting. Hack and slash makes sense, given that many of the Zelda tropes could carry over pretty neatly, but with a change of pace.
Cue lots of "Zelda/Link on Crack", "Link of War", "Zelda May Cry" and "Monster Hunter Triforce" jokes from The Internet!
