That's cool, I enjoyed the Splatoon single player stuff.

Hopefully, this follows suit and does some interesting stuff.

Damn, what a shame but was somewhat predicable after its no show at E3 I suppose.

Yoshi has been delayed until 2019.

A delayed game is eventually good, a rushe............. yadda yadda...

Yep, I'd rather wait for an excellent new Yoshi game than have a merely decent one this year.

Our Josh has been raving about it too. It's been on my Steam wishlist for ages.

Yes, I'm going to be all over that.

I've been waiting for some time for that to land on Switch.

Just got a few little things to finish off first and that'll be one of my next games.

Worth noting if people missed it, or didn't know, that the new Octopath Traveler demo allows you to carry your save data over to the final game that comes out on the 11th July.

You get the first 3 hours in the new demo.

Fortnite runs great, having lots of fun with that.

Paladins is even more impressive. Bloody brilliant little game and the performance is rock solid 60fps. Honestly, superb.

Fortnite does run brilliantly, I had my first game and finished 5th. It is great being able to sit in the garden playing it

Also absolutely loving Paladins. It's £22 for the Founders' Pack on the Norwegian/South African eShop which unlocks all the characters and some other bunf but effectively, it's an early access fee because the F2P version doesn't launch til later this summer.

It's an Overwatch 'clone' (dev apparently started before OW, inspired by TF2 but who knows?) and it plays so damn smoothly on the Switch, it's pretty phenomenal. Loads of variety with the characters and a card based loadout perk system which means that two people could play the same character quite differently. It's a belter and even keeping me off Fortnite this evening.

Further notes it is hard to play in handheld mode but obviously amazing with the pro controller

Has anyone noticed the battery life on their Switch deteriorating over time ??

I generally use the Zelda:BotW 4 hour handheld analogy to base handheld performance.

My launch Switch is probably pushing 3 hours tops now playing Captain Toad - I'm convinced it's taken a nosedive of late.

I guess that is likely to happen, same as with phones and laptops.

No idea what the life expectancy is, but I’ll bet Nintendo offer a (paid for) replacement service...

Don’t forget that some games drain the battery much faster than others though.

Oh yeah, for real. I'm not going to be one of the types that goes to Nintendo with an ugly face demanding a new battery after probably close to 2000 hours worth of usage.

It's a fair usage thing, I understand that.

I just wondered if anyone else had noticed a drop in performance of their battery.

Paladins is out now on the eShop. It's a F2P Overwatch style 'hero shooter'. I actually prefer it to Overwatch and it runs like shit off a shovel on the Switch. Rapid, smooth, beautiful.

May I ask why? Genuinely interested. Not a very common viewpoint.

I never found a 'main' in Overwatch, despite all the characters. I only put maybe ten hours into it across PS4 and XB1X and I had some great matches but I didn't feel I was ever more than a slightly confused passenger. In contrast, I picked up Cassie in Paladins straight away and started killing it. I clicked with the character. Then I forced myself to mix it up and I clicked with another three or four. It's not quite as slick as Overwatch but it's very playable.
