The game rules on this one are such that if you're not in and meddling with your team every week you'll fall away really rapidly. You really can't afford to not have a full 11 out every week, and the points system they use rewards those who keep 'form' players in their squad and aren't afraid to bin 'name' players when they're playing poorly.

Very happy with 3rd place with 2284pts. Only 67pts off the winner. Champions League footy for my team next year. :P

Yeah, but what about the Fantasy League? ;)

I came second, which I'm happy with, though really fell away the last 3 weeks which is a shame.

Karl (Nokkonwud) is usually the man to speak to on this matter. He set up last years Cane and Rinse Fantasy Football league. I tweeted him the other day about it & he said he was setting one up but i doubt if he would mind if someone else set one up though. Just might need to let him know first.

In theory if Karl logs in and 'reactivates' the league we all rejoin automatically...

That code doesn't seem to work for me, it's a private league?

Just to double check the steps:

1) You need to pick your team and have completed all the registration for the game.
2) Click on the Leagues tab.
3) Click on 'join a league'.
4) Select 'Private League'.
5) Type the code into the box.

(I appreciate that's probably what you're already doing...)

Thanks Flabyo, I haven't been on the FPL site yet this pre-season I'll admit.

Thanks guys...

It turns out to be user error, I had a space at the end. Not a great start for an IT "Professional" ha ha

Ah cool, cool.

Yeah, like the job application I sent off recently going on about how organised, detail-focused and diligent a professional I am, then forgot to attach my CV.

Best hurry, deadline for the first game week is 11:30am on Saturday, but the site usually crumbles under the load on the first morning of the season...
