Metal Gear Solid – Cane and Rinse No.28

“So you’re the one that the Boss keeps talking about.”

In the second of six planned Metal Gear specials, Leon, Tony, James and Ready-Up‘s Paul Rooney go large on the series’ 1998 32-bit début – Metal Gear Solid. In a self-imposed-length-limitation-defying podcast, we get deep into Solid Snake’s island adventure and revisit just what made it so remarkable back in the late 1990’s.

Music used in this issue:

1: Metal Gear Solid Main Theme by TAPPY (Tappi Iwase)
2: Intruder 1 by KCE Japan Sound Team
3: Encounter by KCE Japan Sound Team
4: The Best is Yet to Come by Aoife Ni Fhearraigh (composed by Rika Muranaka)

  1. Great podcast, really enjoyed it. Highly anticipating the future Metal Gear podcasts!

Since MGS:PO and PeaceWalker are canon will you be covering them too? While I’m there… Snatcher/Policenauts… possible?

  2. Thanks Mike. Peace Walker will be show number six in the series. Portable Ops is difficult as not enough of us have PSP any more. Policenauts/Snatcher was mentioned in this show as a possibility but a long shot for obvious reasons. However we’re not ruling anything out completely.

  3. I just stumbled on to this page by chance looking for podcast to listen to at work, and I couldn’t have lucked out more. You guys do amazing work, good luck on season 2!
Also thanks for all the MGS love ( ! )

  4. Hi, thanks for seeking us out and taking the time to comment. Glad you’re enjoying the show.
