Emulated (somewhat glitchily) via Dolphin on PC and played with a GameCube controller.

Like you mentioned, this game was amazing when it came out and deserved to be a much bigger success than it was.
Personally I had no interest in Star Wars at the time but when I saw a friend playing this… wow! I had to get a Gamecube. Amazing game and one I remember well.
