SL1 progress.
No screenshot or video of Seath but he's dead and I caught a couple of post kill screenshots for Nito and Demon Firesage.
Just Centepede Demon and Bed of Chaos to go now and I can go and give Gwyn a kicking.

Re: Dark Souls
Old King Allant can be easily beaten with Thief's Ring and Poison Mist. Cheap, perhaps, but it'll save frustration and help you finish the game in about an hour. Your fresh start may as well be NG+, unless you're averse to non-confrontational (some would say exploitative) means of dispatching bosse...

Re: Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light
Cool. I love the style and atmosphere in this game but I've not played nearly enough to make a sensible comment. I'm trying to get through the Bioshocks at the moment but I might skip ahead to Metro.

Re: Dark Souls
I disagree about Demon's Souls. I personally find it much harder than Dark Souls. I still can't finish Demon's Souls. Oh, I'm not saying that I find Demon's Souls easier than Dark Souls, just that it gets easier as you progress. Personally I find the number of non-respawning enemies and unlockable ...

Re: Dark Souls
I disagree about Demon's Souls. I personally find it much harder than Dark Souls. I still can't finish Demon's Souls. I beat Four Kings at SL1 today. Took me even longer than Biggie Smalls. E0NnmrSuxqU I'm now working towards getting the Dark set from the Darkstalker Covenant. I feel like a bit of a...

Re: The Monster Hunter thread
Got my copy today! Gonna have a little poke about on the weekend and then i'll be ready for some weekly C&R huntin' n' killin' n' runnin' n' dyin' :) I'd recommend doing a chunk of the single player first. After about 15 hours you should have a better idea what to do and faced some of the low l...

Re: Dark Souls
Just wrap yourself up in Havel's armor. You got this. Havel's ring too. Give you a bit of mobility to get up close and avoid the blades of his melee attacks and you can roll away from the AOEs. Even with Havels armour and ring I seem to be getting fat rolls. I think I'm better staying light and usi...

Re: Dark Souls
Have fun doing the four kings :-S I'm doing them now. It's annoying me a bit but I took out Sif and the darkroot Hydra and did some invasions before getting there so I'm feeling good about it. I walked the Four Kings on my first two runs but I'm just not doing enough damage now to get through quick...

Re: The videogame music thread - share your favourite tunes
xqxqbGbm8mY I'm more of a Dark Souls guy but the one area where Demon's destroys it is the soundtrack. Great tunes all the way through but the title track is just such an awesome statement of intent for the game. I can't hear it without getting chills. It's probably been posted before but this is a...

Re: Dark Souls
I DID IT!
I don't think I should have too much trouble from here. I did think I'd get through these without too much trouble though.

I wouldn't go that far. My first run took me nearly 100hrs and you're at Gwyn by 56 You're probably better than me at the game I've just learnt a lot about it.FollowMyRuin wrote:You sir, are my hero.

Re: Dark Souls
Utter madness! Well done. Cheers! I managed to get Mega Smough down to about 25% health on my first attempt with just a +5 fire battle axe but since then I've barely taken out Ornstein. I've gone and levelled my axe to max level lightning, killed some men to get some more humanity and killed Vamos ...

Re: Dark Souls
I'm going through at soul level 1 at the moment and I'm really enjoying it. It's refreshing to not really care about losing souls and that's not even happening that much. I wish I could choose some low starting stats and have some DEX rather than be stuck with pyro stats. It's fine though and I'm st...

Re: Natural Selection 2 free weekend
I'll download it for the free weekend but I doubt I'll buy it.
I keep getting burnt buying multiplayer only games then never being able to find a game.
How easy is it to find a game outside of a free weekend?

Re: Dark Souls
Ah, okay. I'm currently studiously keeping myself under 25% equip to maintain fastest movement. I'm on PC so I can't play without the nerfed DWGR - which means I'd only be able to make good use of it if I stick with my current armour. The extra frames and immediacy might be nice, but I don't want t...

Just over half way to the minimum donation and I managed to cycle 11 miles on my exercise bike last night without dying! I might be OK!

Re: Dark Souls
Can't you apply a thing to a weapon to make it buzzing with electric damage? Gold pine resin. You can get that from the darkroot garden mushroom parents. It's a 100% drop rate from my experience and you can never have enough of it. They are slow but hit pretty hard and have a lot of HP so be carefu...

Re: Dark Souls
They are tough. Who are you going for first? I personally found it much easier to take out the little guy first as it takes a bit longer for Smough to catch you to you if you're off fighting Ornstein. You know you need to go all out on one of them? Whoever's alive after you get your first kill goes ...

Re: All things Lara Croft Tomb Raider
edit: Did have a few glitches though that were almost game breaking and could have changed my whole opinion on the game. When Lara was tied by the hands from the ceiling in one part, swinging back and forth did not free her. Had to turn the console off and on for it to work. However, this wasnt as ...

Re: All things Lara Croft Tomb Raider
If i had a choice between action, and tons of puzzles, it's action all the way for me. The optional tombs are at the right level for me, when things get complicated and i have to crack out gamefaqs, my interest soon goes. I couldn't disagree more. I enjoyed the combat a lot but it really needed som...
