Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

We need to have a three line whip of list submitters to get everyone to rank their lists 1-50 so that we can make the data even more robust and get a bigger sample size (me included!).

The punishment for non-compliance is expulsion from the C&R forum!

More Jose Otero please.
If memory serves he actually left to join Nintendo a while back...

Yep - he's at Nintendo Treehouse now!

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

Brilliant! Someone bestow the title of 'Official Cane & Rinse Statistician' on this man!

1992 getting a lot of love. I'm guessing that shows a lot of us may have been in peak childhood years around then, and that it was just a great year for games obviously!

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

I am absolutely loving the amount of work Chopper has put into this thread! Thank you! The insights are really fascinating! Was proud at first to be on the graph of being one of the people that has the most games no-one else does, but then I thought maybe that means I like a load of crap games ...

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

Like the breaking up of things into themed categories! Gives a bit of context!

Some interesting choices as well. Not sure what it says about you that you find Bioshock fun and comforting, but different strokes for different folks ;)

Re: Videogame News

Although very different, Yoku's Island Express combined pinball mechanics with a 2D metroidvania to produce something really quite excellent, so I'm up for more pinball-based genre mash-ups!

Who knows, maybe it'll become to next niche hipster sub-genre of choice!

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Well I moved continents, moved countries and got a PSVR for my birthday. I love it. Like I really, genuinely love it. Battlezone is a blast, I just finished Loading Human (okay) and I've been looking at importing some horror games from the UK that aren't released in NA for VR. Not sorry about the i...

Re: Games Completed 2019

3rd Sep - Outcast: Second Contact (XBO) Outcast is a game I've never played but remember being fascinated by back in 1999. I read all the previews and reviews I could, and picked up the box in game shops so many times and neeeeearly buying it. The promise of this open world adventure on what was be...

Re: The Street Fighter thread

I just didn't enjoy the game. I had a blast with some of the guys on here one evening, best time I had with it, but generally, I found SFV very disappointing. My SF4 style doesn't fit at all, and I've never enjoyed it enough to want to start from scratch. That's the honest truth. Same. My least fav...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Virtua Fighter 2 is OK How very dare you sir! VF2 is great, and a game I jump into pretty regularly. To be fair if you're coming to it fresh in 2019 it might be a bit different without the benefit of nostalgia goggles ;) I think Virtual On is well cool! Takes a bit of learning though, and is better...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

It's hot, damn hot, and I've taken the week off. I've been playing with the PS Classic and I'm having a great time with it recapturing my mid-teens. I've been mostly playing: Tomb Raider . What a fantastic game this is. I went back to the updated version(s) intermittently over the years and they se...

Re: Retro gaming

For the first time in a long time I did a stock-take of my Saturn and Dreamcast collections the other day. Because they’re not all out on a shelf somewhere and the fact that both collections are relatively big at this point, I do lose track of what I have at times. So for anyone interested in either...

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

Finally chipped mine down to 50 and included everything new since my 2013 list, along with a bit of general spring cleaning of dropping and including some older stuff. All alphabetical, no ranking! Although if you asked me for a favourite it would still be Panzer Dragoon Saga... Click to reveal! Ala...

Re: Your Top 50 Games of All Time Lists

Looking back at mine there are a few suspect choices, and I also blatantly cheated by including Sonic Jam and The Orange Box as single listings! I've written up a list of what I want add in since 2013 and have trimmed the overall list to 57, but can't get rid of those final 7! Will keep deliberating...
