Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I grabbed the original Katamari Damacy from the US PSN store last night and the smile has barely left my face since
Brilliantly silly presentation, really satisfying mechanics and THAT SOUNDTRACK. Amazing stuff.

Re: Dark Souls I & II
Congrats, Todinho! It's been great fun reliving the game through your eyes, especially with all the casual murder of NPCs
I was always too scared to kill those guys in case they were going to give me something cool later on. Except Patches, obviously. Fuck Patches into the sun.

Re: Dark Souls I & II
Yeah, once you've beaten the boss in 1-4 it'll take you into the proper endgame stuff. The structure of that game is definitely a bit unusual, I'm sure I spent a bit of time hacking at the Old Monk's chairs too ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Dark Souls I & II
Nah it's the dragon in Bolateria 4 I'm talking about. How many stages are on each area? 5? I literally cannot see where to go on them. For example the Tower Queen one on stage 4 after defeating that yellow glowy boss with the giant curtain round his head, I can't see where you do. There are just lo...

Re: Dark Souls I & II
Just watched part 3, very much enjoying working my way through these. I refused to use guides or wikis in my runs through both Souls games (with the exception of one or two bits where I couldn't find a ladder or some stairs) so it's pretty shocking to see just how much I managed to miss - I had no i...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I picked up Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness for PSP/Vita a few days ago and have really enjoyed what I've played so far. It's a series I'd always been sort of curious about, but I hadn't really got on very well with strategy RPGs until Fire Emblem earlier this year. Lovely art, really funny, likeabl...

Re: Dark Souls I & II
I'm considering NG++ once I finish my current run (I haven't touched sorcery or miracles at all yet and I want to try some more boss weapons) so I'll take him out then and see if the scene still triggers. I think my NG+ tussle with Ornstein and Smough is the most intense and exciting boss battle I'v...

Re: Dark Souls I & II
Is the untrustworthy guy in Tomb of the Giants meant to be Patches from Demon's Souls? Different voice obviously but similar demeanour and appearance. Edit: never mind, bumped into him in the Catacombs in NG+. Missed him there the first time, somehow. I hope he's in DS2 so I can murder him again. Hi...

Re: Games completed 2013
I'll likely be taking on Dark Souls at the same time  I'm honestly desperate to start it right this second, but I know I should give it a break for a while. Shame about Uncharted as well. I just picked up a Vita this week and it's right there on my list of things to play, but every time I think...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Getting stuck right into Demon's Souls for the first time. I've vowed to only use guides if I can't see where to go, like I've missed a door or key or those stairs in 3-1. Builds/strategies are to be a mystery, and we'll see how far we can get. Pray for me plz.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Gave in and bought Xcom for 13 quid on the ipad despite already having it on my ps3. Works a treat though, and I can devote more hours to it this way. Just started this the other day on PS3 after signing up to PS+. Wasn't sure I'd be into it but I've been really pleasantly surprised. Only playing o...

Re: The Last of Us
Regarding the ending, my gut reaction as Ellie and Joel are walking back to the dam was "fuck. Joel has to die." That was really the only way I could think of to tie things up relatively neatly, that Joel should die after getting Ellie to safety. I'm MUCH happier that they didn't go that r...

Re: The Last of Us
I personally thought his performance started well enough in the abandoned mill, I liked the scene where he tells Ellie he knows about her and Joel. I did however, feel that his showdown was one of of only three moments in the entire game that stood out to me as "videogamey" with it feelin...

Re: Help Arry make a development decision
Option 1 has a great deal of potential, conceptually and (although I realise this isn't your immediate focus) commercially. A scripting arseache, I'm sure, but I think it could be super rewarding. Also, option 3 is really intriguing. What part of the platforming spectrum were you aiming for? The col...
