Re: Apex Legends

Pleased to see this reviewing so well. Looking forward to giving it a try over the weekend. My only reservation is it seems very focused on team play, having squads of three, so may not be overly friendly towards single randomers playing alone. Anyone tried it this way? I've won two games with rand...

Re: What Remains Of Edith Finch [SPOILERS]

I went into Edith Finch with high expectations having heard a lot of people mentioning it in GOTY and it still exceeded them. I loved the way it told its story and how happy and fun a lot of the sections were even though you knew each one was leading to a death. I went back to play through some bits...

Re: Monster Hunter: World

Well, I've hit my wall in the form of Diablos but I'm still loving this game. I'm 30 hours in and pulled of a combo last night that I have never done before, so maybe it's time to learn what my weapon can actually do. I've also been shirking the side quests in an attempt to get to a high enough rank...

Re: Monster Hunter: World

Finally picked Monster Hunter up today. Its my first MH but after loving what I played in the beta I'm looking forward to this.

Thankfully it seems like a lot of people are still playing it.

Re: Monster Hunter: World

This is the first MH I've played and really enjoyed the beta. I was going to pick it up today with Dragon Ball Fighterz but with having no Internet for the next two weeks, I've held off.

Definitely getting it once I can get back online and hopefully there will be some hunting parties I can join.

Re: TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan

I really enjoyed my time with Transformers Devastation despite not being a huge Transformers fan.
Turtles on the other hand were 'the' thing I loved as a kid. The trailer looks great and I'm really excited for this.

Re: RE: Re: Bloodborne

I played the DLC on NG+ and found the summons useless. One tactic that did help was to try and stay on the boss' right hand side (screen left). You'll still be knocked around a bit, but sticking to his side whenever possible and closing distance quickly when he moves away really helped me. You don'...

Re: Bloodborne

Well, I just can't beat the first DLC boss. I'm fast approaching 30 attempts and I'm not getting any closer. I've tried solo, I've tried with NPC summons, I've tried with player summons and I've tried with both, still no progress. Can anyone recommend any tactics videos or something I can get some i...

Re: RE: Re: Star Wars: Battlefront

I made use of a Tesco voucher and picked it up on Friday for £35. Most of the negatives highlighted in the reviews I read convinced me! As an old git with little time for gaming, shallow game play, limited scope, retro feel, casual load out system, etc. are plus points. With a decent set of cans on...

That's what I've been waiting for but it still annoys me that they discount episodic games before all the episodes are out.

Re: Our next-but-one podcast recording: Valiant Hearts: The Great War

I was really looking forward to Valiant Hearts after seeing the trailer at E3, the art style really grabbed me and especially as i had recently played Child of Light i wanted more like that. It didn't disappoint visually and the music was also so good i bought the soundtrack not long after. I really...

Yeah, I've been playing that since you mentioned it. It's a lot of fun! Aside from that - YOU MUST BUILD A BOAT (iOS) This game is brilliant. I would post more, but I'm too busy playing it. No really. Get it. It's ace. Bought it yesterday and only played a little but so far so good. It really is gr...

I already own all the games on PS3 and Vita but I still think it's a good month for games. I'd definitely recommend then all.

I bought Home because it was only £2 and sounded interesting but I've not tried it yet. Going to give it ago tomorrow when I'm back to work.

Re: Bloodborne

It is definitely a Souls game and still feels like Dark Souls. I played through Dark Souls with a shield so it did take a few hours (and a lot of deaths) to get used to it, as i kept letting enemies attack me and hitting what would be the shield button. Also dodging is a lot better in Bloodborne, mu...
