Re: Nintendo Wii U

Just a shame that 2015 doesn't seem to have been a particularly eventful year for the Wii U outside of Splatoon. I guess there's Xenoblade coming up, but I'm not too interested in that myself. Hey,I agree with that but I really enjoyed Yoshis Wooly World. You can't let 2015 go by without a nod to t...

Re: Nintendo Wii U

Yes, Starfox looks a lot more promising I must say. I like the idea of using the gamepad. .properly :) but also like the idea of the i direct thingy dropping out from your ship to go on hack work. It's looking like a decent edition to the Star Fox library!

Re: SoP submissions *please read first post*

If there was a game system that ever "had me at hello", it would have to be the PC Engine. Some of the finest games on the system for me are the "Soldier" series, but specifically for this SOP, Final Soldier. It's unfortunate to me that as a great lover of retro video games I only purchased a Japane...

Re: SoP submissions *please read first post*

Not many video game music has truly stayed with me but, this tune from 1990 has. To this day, I'll be caught humming it around the house whilst doing monotonous jobs! My mate's brother would allow us to play on his Amiga when he was out the house. We'd look through his shelves, full of big Amiga box...

Great SOP guys! Thank you for adding my contribution of PE. Leon, however it has aged you do need to get on and give it a go but I would say that through my rose-tints! :)

Re: SoP submissions *please read first post*

I'd like to submit Parasite Eve's 'Primal eyes' please. The soundtrack to this game is great and you could choose so many tracks!!! I first came across this game when my best mate came back from a family holiday in Boston, USA. It was one of those occasions when your mate calls you up and says you h...

Re: Sound of Play: 9

Top notch 'SOP' guys!! Great tracks to listen to here, to get me through my work journey in the car. The Conker Reloaded track was a great surprise to me. Let me tell you I've not heard a track like Vib Ribbon in the car before either, the voices and other samples were literally surround sound in th...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

The power adapter issue has history too. You all know that the Super Famicom was never released or packaged with rather, the system itself, right? Now that is crazy. I can forgive the handheld for mobility reasons but, to not include one on a home system never made any sense to me!

Having recenty watched Darren G play this on the Quick Rinse, it looks like something I could sink my teeth into. I'd previously let it pass me by, so I'm hoping these games are dirt cheap brand new!

Yes, I saw your Facebook post on it. Well deserved praise indeed. Gaming feels like it's in my blood and it's fantastic to hear you guys ramble with equal (and more) enthusiasm. I did notice iTunes doesn't have your earlier work, plus the introduction on the three of you. Is iTunes stuck at a certai...

I completely agree Alex. Surely the PS4 sales has given Sony some more cash tour enable them to start thinking about enhancing gaming services..? ..who knows.
I need to check out Godhand.

Re: Super Smash Bros. series - Cane and Rinse 154

Never played a Smash Bros. I still can't see the delight of it, just by looking alone. I can see the fun of multiplayer but my mates only play COD and FIFA. . The bastards. I'll listen to this podcast soon and see if it changes my clinical judgement.

A true story, hard to believe but very true, I kid you not. I've tried to summarise the best I can here...... enjoy, i didn't at the time :) I was 14. I was on school holidays (the big one that we all loved). This was the first year that my Mum left me to the house alone, whilst she worked a few hou...

Re: E3 2015 - Conference times, news and hype (!)

NWC...... its the circle of life. Will we see gold covered discs that become rare in 15 years time and sell for RIDICULOUS money!? :) At least they are injecting some SERIOUS fun for the E3. Personally, now I want to see them make a SERIOUS console that doesn't house any gimmicks and one that rivals...

Re: Videogame News

Koji Igarashi has a Kickstarter that fans of Castlevania might enjoy! Also, rather good timing what with Konami seemingly imploding as a videogame company. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iga/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night I had to back this. I'm a sucker for these types of games. Just went ...

Re: The 3DS / Nintendo Direct Thread

What a terrible decision you need to make :) I'd go into town and try and get a hands on. I've heard the resolution thing before but you obviously get used to what your looking at. Does this mean that contemporary pixel art games look even better on the N3DSXL? :D
