Re: Sound of Play: 109

I'm finally getting caught up on my podcasts again, and I just listened to this episode. Really fascinating one! I love the interviews you guys do. Yonder was a game I was on the fence about for a while, but after hearing Stephan talk about his creative process, it made me want the game even more. H...

Re: Overwatch

I'll keep that in next time I play as either Sym or Torb, thanks! I know Symmetra's weapon is all too powerful at close range

And hey congrats! I knew you could do it

Re: Overwatch

Oh my turrets shouldn't be my main priority? That would explain a lot  Similarly with Torb I'd have a hard time knowing where to set up. But I'll keep that in mind next time I play as either of them. I know Symmetra's turrets are destroyed easily, but for some reason I always had the impression...

Re: Overwatch

I find that I win a lot more if I'm in a group with my friends at all. Doesn't matter if it's a small group of 3, or full group of 6. I dunno I think my friends and I played Overwatch a little too much when it came out last summer  maybe we just got really good as a team. I have terrible aim as...

Re: Overwatch

I'm still playing regularly as well. Been trying the get that Tracer skin before the anniversary event ends! It is best to play this game with a group of friends you click with. When I'm playing solo I lose a lot :( Also I main Ana now. Recently I realized that I enjoy playing support the most, and ...

Jan 6th - Kentucky Route Zero Act IV Feb 8th - Infamous Second Son Jun 4th - The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Whoa it's been a while since I've completed a game this year. I think I got too distracted after Persona 5 came out. In my opinion, season 3 of TellTale's The Walking Dead was a vast ...

Re: Your favorite game trailers

No Man's Sky has been on my mind lately, so I wanna make a quick mention of the "Explore" trailer. 7AVmI73va4g I think it does a great job capturing that sense of wonder I feel when exploring the universe in the game. And the music by 65daysofstatic accompanies the visuals very nicely. I also think ...

I absolutely love that track from Earthworm Jim! I don't think I could ever get tired of listening to it. Personally I'm kinda nostalgic for the Genesis/Mega Drive version, but after hearing the Saturn version I feel that one is the best. The vocals on the middle of the track really are a nice touch.

Re: No Man's Sky

I'm definitely looking forward to that update. I really like the game as is, but I see a lot of potential with future updates. I'm glad Hello Games are still supporting it. At first the base building stuff seemed too involved for me to wanna try it, but once I started building and recruiting staff m...

Re: Sound of Play: 84

Thanks for including my request from NBA Jam! I must admit, every time I hear that song I feel a little like clapping along to the beat. Of course I couldn't really do that while listening to this at the office with my headphones on  Ryan had said he was interested to hear the gameplay music, b...

Re: Ghost Recon, Wildlands

I tried it out last night with a friend. Neither of us were big fans. I didn't play much of The Division, but to me Wildlands felt like The Division with a different setting. Not sure how accurate that statement is though. I found the setting of an alternate universe New York City more interesting. ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Has anyone else played Streamline? It's in early access right now and I got it through the Humble Freedom Bundle. I was looking at screenshots for all the games I didn't know, and it stood out to me. I've been playing it quite a bit these past few days and I really enjoy it. It's a neat multiplayer ...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

I'd like to request The Hallowed Halls Of Heralded Heroes from Armikrog. When I first heard this, I recognized Terry Scott Taylor's quirky style immediately. The way he mumbles lyrics or sometimes sings in gibberish always makes me chuckle.

Jan 6th - Kentucky Route Zero Act IV
Feb 8th - Infamous Second Son
I've had Infamous Second Son sitting on my backlog for a while. I'm glad I finally got around to finishing it. I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was incredible, but definitely worth my money.

Re: "Classic" Catch Up

Cute, carefree platformers trying to be gritty seemed to be a mild trend in the PS2 era, glad the genre is not in that phase anymore. I forgot about that trend! Yeah I feel the same. I don't want to get your hopes up too much though because I'm sure opinions vary. Although I'm also pretty sure the ...

Re: Games you like more than the consensus

I might've mentioned this once or twice before, but I actually enjoyed Sonic 06. (Aside from Silver's story because I found his levels to be uninteresting.) It's a game that many call "the worst game of all time" and if not that, "the worst Sonic game of all time." But I appreciated how it felt remi...

Re: "Classic" Catch Up

But I hope I can make time for at least Baten Kaitos sometime this year. Of all the games on my backlog, that one piques my interest the most right now. Great idea! The game has its fair share of flaws and oddities, but it's still a fantastic and very special experience that I'd recommend to any fa...

Jan 6th - Kentucky Route Zero Act IV

I finally got around playing Act IV. It wasn't my favorite act, but I really enjoyed it. It still had some standout moments for me. I'm really looking forward to the fifth and final act.

Re: "Classic" Catch Up

I actually haven't made much progress at all on any of the games I mentioned when this thread was first created. I made a little bit of progress on Tales of Destiny, but I don't think I touched any of the other games that have been on my backlog for years. Lately most of my time spent gaming has bee...
