Re: Super Pang - One Credit Clear

Great work, man!

Lot of tension and incredible clutch moments in this one. Find it all the more impressive as I'm terrible at Pang.

Also... bravo at the ending speech.

Re: Shmups

Oh, that is good stuff! One thing I also noticed is that if you destroy all the ring spitting turrets befor you take out the boss, it will compensate with a ton more blue orbs, so be careful with that. At least the rings are destructible. Great to see you get into the game as well! Yeah, that new st...

I've never been one for JRPGs (Final Fantasy Tactics aside, if that counts), but I picked this up when it was on sale strictly for the art style.
Totally with you on that.

Dune 2 - Megadrive version over on Patreon for One Credit. Did it over 9 parts with Harkonnen. Loved the Amiga version when it came out in the 90's and never got a chance to play the MD one. Glad I did it's cracking!
It's great, isn't it? If only I had more time to just play video games...

Re: Shmups

One of my guilty pleasures at the moment is to lurk on the (official?) CAVE forum and read the thread from when SDOJ was just arriving in the arcades in 2012 and catch up on all those hardcore fans' impressions along the way. Great stuff. Def not an official forum, rather a high profile fan f...

17-5 Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon (Arcade) I might have credit fed through this via CoinOPS on o.g. Xbox before with my daughter, but we did it again, with arcade sticks, live on stream, last month. 7nRMrAQJ_oQ 3-6 Hebereke's Popoon (SNES) Fancied playing a bit of SNES last night and I hadn't spent en...

Re: Retro gaming

Glory of Heracles! That's a bit of a blast from the past. It was on the future release list when I was at NoE for quite a while, as in projects that we had to take on in the future, but it eventually disappeared off that list and I can't remember any solid reason why.

Alex, Haze, mine is SW-8487-9618-7286. But I've added you both. :)

Current mood: trying to get over that deplorable performance in Gradius V on stream, last night.

Re: Shmups

I actually know that feeling all too well, HRM. The crazy thing is that I was not doing very well at all, but at one point, on my last life, I racked up crazy extends, essentially doubling my playtime!

Re: Shmups

What has happened in here? Suddenly everyone's playing shoot 'em ups again? Been going at Treasure's magnificent Gradius V, for the world to see at Cane and Rinse's Twitch channel, after having gotten the Gradius I (NES) no death clear, and it's a toughie. Boss rush at the end of stage 2, why not? S...

Re: Retro gaming

Yeah, there is more to the library than Rondo of Blood alone. I think you're bound to discover some new favourites.

Excellent score!

Pomping World, huh? I thought I remember that name from an import section of an old magazine... yet another name for Pang, besides Buster Bros.

On the MD with the 3-button pad, it plays almost exactly like Shock Troopers.
