Re: Games Completed 2020

13-6 Star Fox (SNES) Today my NTSC copy of SNES Star Fox arrived in the mail and I tried it out switched to 60Hz on my modded PAL SNES. Worked like a charm and I proceeded to clear the A-route no death, immediately. To be fair, the A-route is far from challenging, but I haven't played this game (or ...

That sounds like it would be better off as a toggle, independent of the difficulty level, re: Project Warlock. I got it ages ago on GOG, but have only dabbled with it so far. I dug the late era, Natsume-style NES aesthetic transplanted to a 90s, pre-Quake FPS.

Damn, that's still on my shopping list as well. Don't know if I'll love it as much as a lot of other people seem to do, but it seems like such a quintessential SEGA Saturn experience, next to all the ports of 2D arcade games I have on it.

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**

So far I cleared Suits' Roy's Retreat stage (and got the world record, despite being locked in a small space with a mushroom spawning pipe for a while after the boss fight) and took an early stab at Super Suits World's first stage. I got to the bit with the Link costume, but I died in a stupid way b...

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**

I finally got Super Mario Maker 2 this week and just spent 4 hours making my first course. It's called DRIPPY WOODS!

The ID is P3R-4HF-G9G.

Keen to try all your stuff out, especially Suits' complete world!

Re: Shmups

One thing that helped me playing that is that I learned to charge up the melee attack way more than using regular shot, since it also cancels out enemy bullets. Finding a character that suits you well is also a big part of it. Still crazy hard games, yeah.

Great work, man!

Lot of tension and incredible clutch moments in this one. Find it all the more impressive as I'm terrible at Pang.

Also... bravo at the ending speech.

Re: Shmups

Oh, that is good stuff! One thing I also noticed is that if you destroy all the ring spitting turrets befor you take out the boss, it will compensate with a ton more blue orbs, so be careful with that. At least the rings are destructible. Great to see you get into the game as well! Yeah, that new st...

I've never been one for JRPGs (Final Fantasy Tactics aside, if that counts), but I picked this up when it was on sale strictly for the art style.

Dune 2 - Megadrive version over on Patreon for One Credit. Did it over 9 parts with Harkonnen. Loved the Amiga version when it came out in the 90's and never got a chance to play the MD one. Glad I did it's cracking!

Re: Shmups

One of my guilty pleasures at the moment is to lurk on the (official?) CAVE forum and read the thread from when SDOJ was just arriving in the arcades in 2012 and catch up on all those hardcore fans' impressions along the way. Great stuff. Def not an official forum, rather a high profile fan f...
