Re: Games Completed 2020

I don't know why I didn't get on with it, but the backtracking wasn't enjoyable. There were times I'd look at the map, realize I had to cross the whole thing and sigh. It’s certainly not as enjoyable to traverse as say Castelvania and that’s not to say that the movement is solely at fault for this ...

Re: Our Patreon

I mean since the new tier and the palava of subscribers having to go in, delete, re-set up, then adjust further from there (in some instances).

Please pass on my apologies to your wife!
Ha, it was funny, after like the 3rd time of me holding my phone up to my ear full blast to try and understand what you were saying, her eyes suddenly locked with mine and I knew.

Clever idea this, I like it, too clever for me this time round though.

The least successful best thread ever.
I listened to each one about 5 times - to my wife’s delight.

I didn’t have a clue.

Seeing the answers, I still don’t have a clue - which is kind of reassuring in an odd way 😄.

Re: Retro gaming

How are you capturing that footage off your Game boy? Ah, I’m not mate. It’s from the Castlevania Collection on Switch. I’m using the capture footage to Twitter, then downloading to YouTube. Mind, you could easily capture Game Boy footage like that if you wanted to. Super Game Boy, GBA player for G...

Re: Retro gaming

Over the last 18 months I've been enjoying going back through the Castlevania games. A big nostalgia kick were the first two games that came out on the DMG Game Boy. I had these but could never literally get past the first few screens. Times have changed and these games are much more accessible nowa...

Re: Retro gaming

Good question. It's my understanding that the Disc System was created to be a more cost effective way of producing games in the 80's opposed to an upgrade - although it did add extra RAM. However by the late 80's Semi conductor and chip prices came down meaning that company's were able to put larger...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Something like Flower or Grow Home, just anything relatively tranquil otherwise my brain is still too hyped up trying to get to sleep. When I was playing Sekiro I genuinely had a nightmare where ninjas were chasing me  I get this alllll the time. It’s horrific. I get gnarly, almost fever dream...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I dipped back into Destiny 2 yesterday evening after not playing it for about two years. There’s so much stuff, so many icons, I have no idea what to do. To the point, even if I want to carry on with the story I abandoned last time, I can’t, I don’t where it is, or what I have to do to find it. It’s...

Re: Super Mario Maker 2 - **1st Page For Community Level Codes**

We didn't speak This is true. I suppose for anyone trying to get in, or back in then, there are a few things that’ll help you discover the diamonds that this game has within it. First, let’s focus Course World which is the user created levels mode. Check in on the leader boards, this will throw up ...

If you've got access to a PSP the Ridge Racer on that was brilliant fun. Much better reviewed than the shoddy Vita version, too.
I don't sadly but did notice a few RR games on that system 8-) .

Re: Retro gaming

I've been enjoying the Playstation 1 again lately after recently refurbishing a console and series of controllers that I found in the loft. As well as playing some of my original games all over again, I've been on the look out for games that I have missed. Welcome along, Ridge Racer. https://i.imgur...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Ring fit adventure. World 1. Want to curl and cry after that workout. Also it's a good game to play! Gnarly, isn't it. Really gets the heart and blood pumping. My boy would stand next to me while I played and got really into chasing down Dragaux. The main reason that I stopped playing was that I fo...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

I enjoyed NSMBD quite a bit, firstly on the Wii U then again on the Switch - but SMM2 blows it out of the water completely in terms of fun and general interest. It’s probably best as a complement to the main line games, here play this, then if you want more, here, play this. It’s accessible too, you...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

Any thoughts on the best one for young kids? Mario Bros. Wii U DELUX would be much better suited for younglings just wanting to pick up a Mario 2D platformer and squish Goomba’s. The combination of many hours of ready made gameplay, with increasing challenge and simplicity, makes it an easier choice.
