Re: Games Completed 2019

Added Cadence of Hyrule and DK94 to the list. Quite a productive June for me! Odd, you didn’t show on my leaderboard when I finished it Friday. Also, I think it should warn you, that if you even have a quick look at fixed beat mode it voids your score for the other leaderboard. Bit gutted I didn’t ...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

As you get further into the game, you will have trouble just bowling into a pack of white Bokoblins and spamming attack - let alone any of the more serious things.

It’ll be all about parry’s, doges and using the environment.

I do understand your criticism though.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Finished Cadence of Hyrule today, very enjoyable. Recommended. I’ve also picked up the Secret Of Mana collection on the Switch and I’m a 3 or 4 hours into Mystic Quest on that. Be played through Mystic Quest a few times over the years and hopefully will play these through in order, as I’ve never pla...

Re: E3 2019 - Conference times and general chat

I could only watch the first minute or so of that - soooooo, painful and cringe.

Like an episode of Faulty Towers but worse, as it’s real.

Re: Destiny / Destiny 2

I love a bit of MP. Sea of Thieves is great for Lego chat like Dez said, so is Destiny(PvE) and especially Minecraft to name few. Used to play an awful lot of Halo and Destiny (PvP) with callouts and strategic gameplay - you feel like such a unit when you all pull something off as a team against oth...

I still haven’t played beyond the first hour of Aria though. Saving it..!
I’m taking this completely that there may well be a Castlevania series playthrough on it’s way soon.

Clips - What console are you playing on ??

It’s such a different experience in a familiar group.

Even just messing about doing strikes chatting shit is fun.

Re: Destiny / Destiny 2

Beating Atheon in the bowels of the Vault of Glass for the first time is bar far the most memorable MP experience I've done with my mates.

Weeks it took.

Bloody outstanding experience that. Brilliant.

Re: Video Game Collection Vs. Sunlight

Sadly, yes, the Ultra Violet light in daylight will damage your cases and labels irreparably. It’s a real thing and the demise of many many games aesthetic delights. Whenever I see collections, shops, or stalls with all of their games displayed on basking in sunshine I do spare a thought. All daylig...

Wow, is this on cross-play now ??

I’d be well up for some Fireteam strikes again.

I never even finished the story in 2 after about 500 hours in 1.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Firstly I finished and very very much enjoyed Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow . I also believe that this is another fantastic experience made better by the form and function of the console it was designed for – The DS. I've often thought Konami have been really dropping the ball on re-releasing old Cas...

Re: Retro gaming

Mildly linked I suppose but fun to type out and show anyway. A member of the community reached out and asked if I’d take a look a few newly acquired items, with the idea that I could give them a freshen up and a bit of TLC. A couple of GameBoy Advance carts ( Final Fantasy Tactics and Zone of the En...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Been playing a few things recently. Firstly I finished and very very much enjoyed Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow . The multiply endings, secret routes, item combinations and background scenery monster hunts make this feel like so much more than just another Castlevania game. The cryptic paper clues sca...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

While we're on the topic, I also happen to own a Lego Technic Enzo Ferrari from when I was younger. Great kit, with an engine with moving pistons, and it even has a differential too. Man, a few years ago I went a bit nuts and bought the £300 Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 model. Took me about 40 hour...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Cadence of Hyrule taps directly into what I personally need in a game to find it compelling.

It’s soooooooo good.

Once it clicks, it’s brilliant.

Your always just a slight mistake from death though, so it’s never fully under control.

The music is next level.
