Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

Don't know if you have this on the list, but I would be curious to see what you guys think of BattleBorn! Not quite as bad as everybody makes it out to be.

Re: Mega Man / Mega Man 2

Mega Man 2 was the best game on the NES. Loved it to bits. On days with bad weather I would boot it up and run through it timing my runs. If I died, I'd restart from scratch. I possibly could have competed with the best speedrunners out there. Oh and those Wiley Stages were the BEST!

Re: Resident Evil 7 midnight demo in VR

Havent had a chance to check out the Resi 7 demo update yet, must really get on that, but since i already have it preordered, it may make the wait even more unbearable  Same here! I am feverishly checking out all the crazy secrets in the demo and I don't want it to end. Replayed it again and a...

Re: Final Fantasy I - XV

Well, FF VI (US III) holds a special place in my heart since it wasn't released in Europe and I was able to get an import copy from my local shop. Totally unexpected, this one blew my mind and it made me a SquareSoft nutcase. The follow-up was always on my radar and in '95 images appeared of Locke f...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast

Don't know if it has been covered previously..but Ninja Gaiden Black. Tremendous game! Sigma was a bit easier if memory serves.
Good luck with that one

Re: The Sony news and discussion thread

The PS Vita didn't get enough love. Every PS4 title out right now supports remote play which I love using ! Highly underexposed feature if you ask me!
Not to mention great back catalogue of classic PS One, PSP and Vita games...

Resident Evil 7 midnight demo in VR

Anybody else tried this? I am blown away with what they have achieved with this title. Although it would be nice if graphics improve using a PS4 Pro, I am still in total awe of what I just experienced.
Could it be the killer app that VR needs?

Re: Amnesia: The Dark Descent

I love a great indie horror game and Amnesia fit the bill perfectly. I first heard about it through word of mouth and I didn't expect a whole lot. While booting up for the first time I was greeted with the message "This game is experienced best with headphones" so I decided to play along. Closed the...

Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater core series (1-5)

Instead of talking about the series, the ONE that stands out obviously is nr. 2 - the one that changed the series. By God, I don't want to know how much time I wasted trying to make the longest trick combo. Unlike the SKATE series (which represented true skating in a much better fashion in my opinio...

Re: Alien: Isolation

Finished this game going through my backlog and I have to say that this is one severely underrated game.
Although the insta-fails are truly annoying, there is no other game which captures the essence and feel of Alien as good as this one. Loved it.

Re: Our next Zelda podcast recording (10.4.16): The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

This is going to sound as herecy but...I hated Ocarina. My expectations for Ocarina were so high that -realistically- they could never be met. As a 22-year old guy I was looking forward to the follow-up to one of my favorite 16-bit titles, A Link to the Past. The game had been delayed time and time ...

Re: Bloodborne

Being a souls fan ever since Demon's Souls was still an undiscovered gem, I was looking forward to this since it was announced. Mostly because it looked like it was going to be the first next-gen Souls title. The long and short of it; I loved every second of Bloodborne - my GOTY 2015 by far. It is t...

Re: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

So this game was released in late '91 and a friend and I both got our SNES in late '92 - we were 15 years old. He went with a copy of TLOZ:ALTTP and I got a SNES for one reason only; Street Fighter 2. At the time I wasn't jealous, because as a 15 year old SF2 was more my thing. We finished TLOZ feve...

Re: Our next podcast recording (12.12.15): Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Although I had a blast playing through this game, I realised that it really is mostly an amalgamation of a couple of succesful franchises -assassin's creed being the most obvious one- bar the nemesis system which is a truly original and succesful addition. The Nemesis mechanic deserves to be lauded ...

Re: Our next Zelda podcast recording: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

Zelda 2 was the first NES game that I bought with my own money as a 10 or 11 year old kid. The sole reason that I initially wanted it was because of the fact that the original Zelda already attained a mythic status on the NES and the simple fact that this looked like it was going to trump the origin...
