Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

I would say it definitely won't fit your case. That's a certainty. What I would also say is that there's no reason to ever put the Joycons back on again, real talk. There is no case though currently which will fit the Hori Pads, that is a downside.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

Please do, definitely interested in one of these. Nice one! Hope you like em mate. Ok, reporting back. Get ready for some serious grip action and little finger reacharound chat. https://i.ibb.co/4PhpSBC/20191117-151805.jpg Size comparison: Satisfye Grip, Hori Split Pad Pro, Joycons. Tl;dr : Satisfy...

Re: Shmups

Whatever makes us look better, let's just say that's what it is. And yeah, I agree. Even with the Switch ports of Gunbird and Zero Gunner, they're perfectly good fun even if the input lag and stuff is technically bad. The devs even added a - to Zero Gunner's title to acknowledge how shit it is or so...

Re: Shmups

Sweet. That makes my full chain of stage one even better. Funnily enough, I thought this was easier via FBA than on the 360. It's also easier to learn it with save states and stuff. Maybe it is time to replace Ol' Melty with a decent comp.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I've been away a bit recently but back this weekend and looking forward to a day off with some gaming. I've been mostly playing the following on handheld: Steins; Gate - My profile says 2 hours for this. I literally can't remember anything of it yet and I've restarted it about five times. Great idea...

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

Right, you sold it to me. Thanks for the detailed descriptions! I don't like rumble in handheld anyway (mostly use it on train/plane and that buzzing is obnoxious) and the bigger sticks and buttons are exactly what I'm looking looking for. Should be here tomorrow so I'll report back! Cheers.

Oh, bollocks. Cheers. I totally misunderstood in which case. Thought I could create my own overlapping bullet curtains on the bog.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread

If the Hori is a 10, is the Satisfye an 8? What's the differential, would you say? I like the Satisfye, so much more comfortable but it's the actual sticks which I find prohibitive on the Joycons. I really admire these folks who play 90% handheld or whatever because the JC sticks aren't great in my ...

Re: Dreams (Media Molecule)

From everything I've heard, and sorry to be a downer, it's an incredibly rich set of tools which require a massively time consuming learning curve unless you're already familiar with game development, music production and graphic design/3D modelling. It seems like a fun and very interactive way to l...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

It's very similar in palette to No Man's Sky, but where you could embrace that because it was an empty space for your imagination to sink into, it looks more like a TV set in Outer Worlds, to me. I'm sure they did what they wanted but yeah, I agree. A bit garish. Give me greyscale Skyrim any day, no...

All good points but I nevertheless wait with baited breath for the tiddy game issue.

Re: Well Twitter has been interesting today hasn't it.

I have to be honest, I didn't see any of that but sounds like the usual performative principles Twitter bullshit. Edit: Oh, I see. I see that 'vast majority' comment as total ignorance, assuming the podcast is produced to promote a specific agreed agenda and/or thinking that the purpose of any creat...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Odyssey feels quite cramped to me in handheld, and the slightly fiddly precise controls are much better on a Pro Controller than the handheld sticks and little buttons. ARMS and Splatoon 2 are also way better on the telly and both look gorgeous. Astral Chain benefits from the big screen. NSMBUDX, Tr...

Re: Death Stranding

] Kojima totally passed me by. It's weird when that happens, feels like I've been living in a parallel universe. Pretty sure I had one of the modern metal gears at one point on the ps2 or something and didn't much care for it so didn't play much, I never got to see anything absurd, it was always ju...

Re: Death Stranding

It seems to be satire, but I can't tell where it's directed. I feel that a lot about Kojima which is partly why I find his stuff interesting, even if not necessarily satisfying. I'd say the same with the social interaction/Demon's Souls stuff. There's a paradoxical irony to it. It's obviously taking...

Re: What's Out This Week?

Yep, same here. Feel somewhat overwhelmed by all the stuff I've bought this past month and still got Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina to finish, or really 'start' in the case of the former.

Re: Death Stranding

I 100% think you need to be in the mood for this game to play it. I can imagine as many people ditching it early on as carrying on. Yeah, definitely going to be the case. I expect I'll drop it and pick it back up several times before I finish it due to not feeling like watching half an hour of cuts...
