Re: 641: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Back when Dragon Age: Origins released, I was totally unfamiliar with BioWare’s catalog of games. That, I think, helped me feel pleasantly surprised with that first game in the series and, even though I wasn’t (and still am not) too interested in the second game due to several reasons, I was hugely ...

Re: 527: Darksiders II
Let’s get this fact straight first: yes, the Darksiders games are infamously derivative. In particular the first one, it felt like the most Zelda game not done by Nintendo I ever played. But you know what? That’s not really a big negative if you think about it, I actually liked it despite that. The ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
The games I played since last time I posted here were: Stardew Valley : I ended up investing around 280 hours in it, so I seriously doubt I’ll be replaying it anytime soon  Still, I hugely enjoyed it, and no other farming sim seems like it’d live to my current expectations thanks to Stardew Val...

https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/41435/patch-1-5-next-generation-update-list-of-changes Better late than never (re: both this patch and me posting about it  ). I’m truly glad this patch put the game in a more playable shape than the previous ones (this looks now more like it should have on the...

Re: 522: What Remains of Edith Finch
You know, I have to admit that my relationship with the environmental narrative—a.k.a. walking sim—genre, though not terrible, isn’t really something remarkable. Not that I’ve played (and inevitably been burned out by) them all, I still have some of the more famous ones, like Dear Esther and Tacoma,...

Re: 505: Hollow Knight
Before I tried my hand at Hollow Knight I was a little aware of how the game hatched a good reputation in many critics’, and players’, hearts. However, even though I’m skittish towards boarding some hype trains with slightly uncertain destinations, I still felt the itch to witness this game myself i...

Re: LISA the Painful RPG
I played LISA: The Painful (plus both LISA: The Joyful, its sequel, and LISA: The First, its prequel of sorts) a couple of years ago and, well... that was definitely an interesting experience! I mean, I knew the type of dark game it was before going into it but what I was not expecting at all was ho...

Re: 500 - Outer Wilds
I’ve just finished Outer Wilds today and thought to see if by chance it wasn’t already covered in previous episodes. Luckily, I found this topic kinda right on time it seems... a feeling very prevalent when achieving certain objectives in the game, funnily enough. Well, to keep it as short as I can:...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
It’s been a looong while since I’ve shared what I’ve been playing recently  So, I’ll try to be as concise as possible about what games I’ve completed since Thronebreaker [cracks fingers] : Firewatch : Lovely little game with some (kinda surprisingly, kinda not that surprising) touching moments....

Re: 457 - Stardew Valley
I don't have a lot to say regarding Stardew Valley other than, when not being pressed to accomplish a task in an urgent matter, I enjoy it so damn much! :) I learned the hard way on my first playthrough, back when the game was released. I missed some of my self-impossed objectives (like trying to co...

Not that I wasn’t sold already on the game but, heck, in general terms it keeps looking better and better to my eyes.

jvdSXpxNv9g “ Calm Before the Storm ”, by Mikolai Stroinski ( Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales ) Hands down the best game I’ve played this year (at least so far), thanks among many things to its beautifully composed and “on-brand” soundtrack. Pretty much all of this OST is enjoyable but, as usual w...

Speaking of Rayman: Origins’ OST:
“Ocean World: Glou Glou”, by Christophe Héral.
I just enjoy the whimsical composition of this particular track. Jazz and cartoony voices, what a mix

The magnitude of Night City is borderline scary ...I love it!

By the way, they released yesterday the minimun and recommended system requirements for the PC version of the game (for 1080p):

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)
Hi C&R, long time no see :) I’m currently re-listening to the Dragon Age: Inquisition OST for nostalgia sake, and wanted to suggest the following track from it: bwxok3P3TBQ “Orlais Theme” , by Trevor Morris ( Dragon Age: Inquisition Original Soundtrack ) Can’t get any more immersed in the fictio...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I'm currently playing Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales , halfway through the 4th. chapter to be more precise. Man, I missed this world so effing much! Not even Netflix's Witcher show, which I enjoyed, scratched the itch that The Witcher games left me with. I'm not a big fan of card games but, still,...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
As I said in other corners of the internet, I'm glad about the delay mainly because it'll give me more time to both save money for my in-the-nearish-future computer upgrade and to wait for new interesting PC hardware (like new graphics cards and processors) to be released in the meantime

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I only played Dragon Quest 9 and I really enjoyed it! Quite old school but mostly free of the more annoying pitfalls of JRPGs. Just a really chill time and does not take itself too seriously so I would personally recommend it if you are looking for more Dragon Quest. I might try it, if I manage to ...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Except for Ilan Rubin (his work with Nine Inch Nails specifically), I'm not too familiarized with almost all of these musicians but I'm positively impressed with their inclusion in the game's radio soundtrack And there are supposedly more to be revealed!

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
After many, many weekends, I’ve beaten Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past for 3DS. Pretty great game, especially if you’re already a fan of the saga and if you have patience for slow games, because the pacing in this one is glacial  Even so, I’d say it's my favorite one from all ...
