Re: Elden Ring
Fairly near the end is about right. I've popped some Fire Giant tips below in a spoiler tag, if you want a bit of help but not a full guide. I'd also be happy to help if you're on Playstation, I have an end game character I've been using for summons. There's a bracelet on his ankle that breaking wil...

Re: Games you love because of Cane and Rinse?
Bloodborne, Hollow Knight, Final Fantasy come to mind. It's hard to be exact. I remember the Bloodborne episode in particular being really good and giving a great impression of that game's atmosphere and setting. But generally I'll listen to episodes after I've played the game, and they'll give me a...

Re: Mental Health
Sorry to hear that Alex. I sometimes find a change in routine can help me feel a lot better, even something small like going on a different walking route to normal. Not sure if that'll help you but I do find it tends to pick me up sometimes.

Re: Videogame News
Enjoyed the Shadow of the Erdtree trailer. Nice that I didn't have to wait until gone 10pm to watch it! The long gap has been good for me, I miss the game more now than if it had released late 2022. Love seeing all the reactions and the lore theory machine spinning up again. There's a good interview...

Re: Games Completed 2024
I'm seriously considering playing through City via this collection too at some point this year after playing Suicide Squad got me in the mood for some Rocksteady Batman, the main reason though is because it was the only Rocksteady Arkham game I didn't platinum and I want to round them off. Well wor...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've jumped back into Hollow Knight . I've had the last week off spending remaining annual leave, so spent a day or two hooked on it, as well as a few smaller sessions over the week. I absolutely love it. It's a very rewarding game if you like exploring, so many great little secrets, moments and new...

Re: 614: A Plague Tale: Innocence
Plague Tale is a stunningly beautiful game that tells a generally engaging story of siblings struggling to survive as the world falls apart. It has a similar feeling to the Last of Us in its story, presentation and stealthy gameplay, and its focus on companionship. The voice acting is generally exce...

Re: 622: Elden Ring
I was a little hesitant of Elden Ring leading up to release. I’d played a few From Software games and loved them, for the most part. However I was feeling a bit burnt out on them, and uncertain if an open world would offer much to the experience. The reviews ended up swaying me to buy it on release,...

Re: Bad game openings
The Witcher 2 comes to mind. The game doesn't do much to ease you in, either in terms of gameplay or the story, so I had no idea what I was doing or what was going on. I remember fighting a guy on a tower, trying random actions and picking dialogue choices without context. There is a tutorial but yo...

Re: 603: Hi-Fi Rush
Hi-Fi Rush is a real delight. It has a fun and easy-going nature, its bright comic art and stylistic effects are quietly impressive, and its campaign surprisingly engaging and well paced. The comedy and evocation of nostalgia never felt anachronistic or cynical to me. While not every joke is a winne...

Re: Games Completed 2024
January 6th - Persona 5 Royal I played this off and on for a year and loved it. It was a relaxing game and a source of comfort for me. I loved the balance of the story, the day to day life stuff, and going to the palace. I felt very drawn into the world as everything is so well integrated. The turn...

I'll list my top ten below and link the full list of games below that - there's 21 in total. 1) Final Fantasy VII 2) Hi...
