Re: Persona 5 - Cane and Rinse 368

So when are you guys going to do Persona 1 and Persona 2 (both Eternal Punishment and Innocent Sin)?

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

Been playing Ni No Kuni 2, which as it turns out, is pretty much Suikoden 6 in everything but name. A nice surprise!

Re: 373: Final Fantasy X

The thing I liked about FFX is the lack of the open map. Perhaps this is one of the most controversial aspects of the game, compared to older titles in the series but for me it really works. The whole idea of the game is that you're on a road trip, going from place to place for Yuna to be able to co...

I always thought a Dr Who point click adventure would be a good fit for the licence. Bonus points if the story spans the different eras of the show.
I like this idea a lot.

Re: Your dream licensed videogame?

I would like a full on proper Doctor Who game.

That or an Obsidian style Star Trek RPG.

Re: Our next podcast recording (11.3.19) - 360: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I've never been able to finish a Zelda game and this one was no different. I should have known better than to listen to the hype on a Zelda game, but I fooled myself into thinking "this will be the one I finish" when I bought it and my Switch at the same time. I was playing, and enjoying, BOTW until...

Re: Our next Final Fantasy podcast recording (13.4.19) - 365: Final Fantasy IX

Vivi is my favourite character in FF. His existential crisis and search for meaning in his life was extremely impactful to me, given some of the themes of life and death in the game, even quantified in the theme song "Melody of Life". We don't get to see JRPGs being so introspective, especially at t...

Re: Resident Evil 2 (2019)

The problem is he keeps hitting me in close quarters. There are specific rooms I need to get to, to progress the story and he keeps following me in and just beating the crap out of me. In a room where there are him *and* two other zombies in the same place. And I don't have that many healing items r...

Re: Resident Evil 2 (2019)

So uh... You know how a certain big fella makes big clompy footsteps as he stalks you all around? He's killed me three god damn times tonight and I am getting quite, quite, quite fed up with him. After I lost progress and restarted from the same place the third time.....and died.....I just quit. It...

Re: Games Completed 2019

Charming, wonderful and truly a title that shows how VR can provide a very special type of game. Basically the title uses individual sets that you can look around and move your mouse through but makes it all come to life so much better than if it was just a standard 2D representation. The way it us...

Re: Resident Evil 2 (2019)

I managed to find a US copy in Hong Kong with all of the lovely violence intact. I have started Leon first, and I am genuinely surprised at just how violent it is. And nobody seems to be batting an eye. I was expecting more of an uproar about it because it's "realistic" and whatnot. Not complaining ...

How did you enjoy Moss? I've been teetering towards getting PSVR but I'm not totally sure yet. Moss is one of the games that has me almost convinced.

Re: Games Completed 2019

I finished a lovely little game called State of Mind. It's a kind of point and click adventure game. No combat. Some light puzzles. An interesting cyberpunk story and an amazing soundtrack. The very definition of a good "B tier" game. Worth a try if you like point and click, adventure and/or cyberpu...

I think I missed something here - what's a Flip Grip, and why should I expect a SHMUP bones from it? I'm literally like Michiel levels of SHMUP enthusiast over here... I spend nearly a near trying to track down a Raiden II cab. I hadn't heard of it until recently either. Here's a video on it. https...

Re: Red Dead Redemption II

I noticed what was happening and guessed the spoiler that Alex79uk was talking about. That's disappointing it was spoiled for you though. I finished the game just before Christmas. I enjoyed the game for what it was even though I guessed what was going to happen. I think it was kind of redundant as ...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I've been playing Spider-Man..... I'm not sure how I feel. One classic villain boss battle near the start. The rest of the time Spider-Man is just basically beating up generic Chinese gangsters that Spider-Man would normally be able to take out in about 10 seconds. I do like that they took elements ...

But it's actually just an aged 80s power metal singer, bless his heart.
That "aged 80s power metal singer" is Ian Gillan from Deep Purple!

Fair enough if you don't like it, but at least get your facts straight!

Re: Games Completed 2019

Bendy and the Ink Machine Interesting atmosphere, some unique designs. I had real problems with the visual design of the levels though - in the sense that the entire game is literally all one beigey/yellow colour. It made it easy to get lost sometimes when you were trying to find something. My other...
