So you chastise me because I called someone a name, but rub your hands with glee when someone loses their job.

If you want people to behave a certain way on your site, then lead by example and don't be a hypocrite.

Re: Videogame News

Quite. No-one here is victim blaming. We're just asking that people don't badmouth Hale based on spurious supposition. In fact I think PG and Kamiya in particular are coming out of this looking terrible so far. That said, the plot thickens, apparently: https://www.ign.com/articles/bayonetta-voice-a...

scab - Jennifer Hale. From the article you shared: "Tweets Jennifer Hale has been liking recently suggest she was not informed about Hellena's situation before she took on the role of Bayonetta." Don't be calling people nasty names on here when you're not necessarily in full possession of...

Re: Videogame News

https://www.eurogamer.net/voice-actress-requests-fans-boycott-bayonetta-3-in-insulting-salary-fiasco Pretty disgusting at what's going down. Platinum treats a voice actor like crap and Hideki Kamiya throws a temper tantrum on twitter and insults and blocks anyone who disagrees with him. What a massi...

Re: Our next podcast recording (23.10.22) - 542: Nioh

I was interested in Nioh because I liked the setting. I thought it was a natural extension of what the Onimusha games could have become. However I suck at Souls games. I bought the "complete" edition of this in Hong Kong as I have travelled to Japan several times and am a fan of games like...

Re: Games Completed 2022

#10 for me (very slow year) - Live A Live.

I loved the individual chapters with each character. The last chapter was a pain in the ass because you basically needed to consult a guide to finish it. Fun game overall though.

Re: PS2 recommendations

I did own a PS2 at some point during my life, but I don't think I ever bought many games for it. Does anyone have any recommendations for the system? What I'm really more after is more arcadey type games - any good shmups or scrolling brawlers? Okay, I went through my list of games and selected som...

I own 286 PS2 games.

Here is my backloggery list. I recommend you go through it and look up stuff you don't know.

Re: 549: Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne

Like most people, I got into the Megaten series through Persona. However in my case, I'm likely one of a handful of people who were excited for Nocturne after playing Persona 2 Eternal Punishment on the PS1 and Maken X on the Dreamcast. I bought it day one and I was genuinely blown away. This is a g...

Re: 539: Metroid Prime

Metriod Prime was my introduction to the series, when I started buying Gamecube games in the late 2000s. After playing several FPSes on the PS1 and PS2 I felt Metroid was fairly intuitive to grasp the controls of, and pretty easy to learn. What I found so different from games like Medal of Honour, U...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I'm at the beginning of Chapter 6 and it is genuinely one of the single most frustrating things I have ever tried to do. I cannot escape the police. I get caught every. single. bloody. goddamn. time. Ha! That's exactly where I am in the game, or at least was when I stopped playing it months ago. I ...

Was watching some videos on Yakuza and had an itching to get back into Yakuza 3. I'm quickly remembering why I dropped it. I'm at the beginning of Chapter 6 and it is genuinely one of the single most frustrating things I have ever tried to do. I cannot escape the police. I get caught every. single. ...

Seen a lot of hype for this - it's worth playing them? I have a lot of time for the SNES era JRPGs, seems like this is a well loved series? (Although was this PS1 rather than SNES, originally?) It's my favourite rpg series ever. I dont want to overhype them and disappoint you so I will just say thi...

Undernauts - Labyrinth of Yomi. It's a first person dungeon crawler with a real horror vibe. The monster designs are excellent and there are a lot of real quality of life improvements.
