Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
I didn't love Spider-Man: Homecoming, but I really enjoyed the new one. Good time, all around. Actually, considering I wasn't very excited for it or Toy Story 4 and both have been the most enjoyable times at the cinema lately, maybe I need to get over myself.

Steam sale. Anyone getting anything fun? Seems awfully quiet this year. Are we as a collective reaching 'Peak Backlog"?

Re: Games Completed 2019
20/06 - Bioshock So after wrestling with the awful remaster, I switched over to the original version instead. Perhaps you already mentioned, and I've heard not great things about the remaster, but what caused you to go back to the original (I've only played the original as well)? I talk about it he...

Re: Comic Book Chatter
DC closing Vertigo Comics is sad news. Really down about this. The Vertigo imprint taught me to love comic books, not just superheroes. My appreciation of the medium as a whole is due to Vertigo and a big reason I branch out and try new things as often as I do. And Sandman basically re-wired my brai...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
I've been playing a lot of Civ VI. I've been playing on some harder difficulties than I normally do (I'm garbage at these games, but I love them). I've gotten a few victory types I've never had before, so that's been nice. And, now, the big June update is out so I started a new game. I really do enj...

Thanks, guys!
Also, has anyone seen the new MIB movie? Reviews are bad, a friend of mine liked it, wife wants to see it. We'll probably go but I'm not looking forward to it.

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Is there seriously a bad movie podcast called One Good Thing? Mine is called Three Nice Things. I'm gonna go sit in the dark now. haha that's brilliant! I didn't realise you meant you actually made the podcast though, I'll have to check that out. In One Good Thing the concept is they watch bad movi...

Since I do that bad movie podcast Which one is it? I was listening to One Good Thing for awhile and that was quite fun. I do love a good bad film, I'd recommend Ghost Shark if you haven't seen it. Re: Games Completed 2019
I finished Mad Max. It's such a strange game. I wouldn't say I had tons of fun playing it, but there was something gently satisfying about just cleaning up the map, akin to carpet cleaning. It was the perfect game for where my heads been at. It's one of those games, where if someone could only have ...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
Since I do that bad movie podcast, I've been watching some...rough films for the first time. I've now seen Johnny Mnemonic, Battlefield Earth and, just this weekend, Dragonball Evolution. Actually, I gotta say, if you called the Dragonball movie ANYTHING ELSE but Dragonball, it might not be as revil...

I give Necrodancer my full approval. Tons of fun. I keep meaning to try it with my DDR pads, too.KissMammal wrote: ↑June 12th, 2019, 12:02 am Yeah - I was on the fence about Necrodancer, but for $3.99 (down from $20) it's well worth a punt!

Would you suggest the same thing for someone only using it for blu-ray movies?ratsoalbion wrote: ↑June 11th, 2019, 11:36 pm 1. If DF recommends it and you can afford it it’s probably a good buy. I went for a Sony Bravia 49” 4K HDR set about a year ago and I love it. A bargain at under £600. But I’m no AV guru.

Re: The Nintendo news and discussion thread
I never played Panzer Dragoon but even I know that announcement is exciting.
And, while nothing will beat the Gameboy's Zelda for me, I have to admit, that new Link's Awakening is adorable AND pretty.
And Banjos back!

Honestly, it would make a lot of things easier if this week was the standard for the release amount.
