Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Having seen the end credits of FTL , I decided to go back to Darkest Dungeons . I played a bunch last week but I just wasn't in the right mood for it and wanted something a bit more peaceful. Bought Terra Nil for the correct mood. It's a nice game with a pretty enough aesthetic but it's a bit too si...

Re: Bad game openings
Kingdom Hearts 2 is a famous one. I know people who will keep a save file right after it so they can skip the opening on future replays.

Re: Games Completed 2024
Finally completed FTL: Faster Than Light after (x) years. Recently corrected some bad habits and learned of some things I was just ignoring, saw the end credits. Albeit, on normal with the original ship.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Started two games right before break ended, Chaos Reborn and Super Mario 3D World. Not sure about Chaos, it seems fun enough but I didn't realize it was primarily a multiplayer game with a tacked on single player mode. I could get lost in it, but we'll see if I find it worthwhile. As for Mario, it's...

I've heard it's a bit too easy but you know your platformers! Does that mean you found the difficulty to not be an issue?ratsoalbion wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2024, 2:13 pm I bought myself Wonder at Christmas and have ended up liking it even more than I was expecting. Had two long and brilliant afternoons with it over New Year.

Hades Inscryption Diablo Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance Stardew Valley Journey "Completed" Stardew as in I got to Spring Year 3 and felt like I did enough to leave happy. My farm is easy enough to dip back into, so I might check in every now and then, but I feel good stepping away from this ...

Hoping someone who keeps up with this stuff more than me can say if this is a good deal or not? I'm looking to upgrade from my 2017 machine (and play Baldur's Gate 3).

Man, I'm sorry to hear that you went through such a tough time and glad things seem a little more positive now. Check in here more often, I can't say it'll help but it has helped me in the past. If you ever want to talk with someone totally outside of your situation never think twice about sending ...

Re: Comic Book Chatter
What did you think of Gotham Central? It was the first Brubaker work I'd read and it's probably my favourite series ever, I loved it. I've only ever read it once though, keep meaning to have another run through it. Loved it. I might get the omnibus or fancy collections someday. It was sad when I go...

Re: Comic Book Chatter
Recent reads; Boom Studio's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics because it's cooler than it has any right to be. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four run because I never read it and it's fascinating seeing how everything was evolving. Once they start leaning into serialized stories, it really st...

This might not be the era of Final Fantasy for you :geek: Ugh, well I will keep going on until I feel it is too much. I am intrigued otherwise but the only games I played where random battles were a thing was FF VII and the Pokemon series which for the most part were never too overbearing so the ra...

Re: Mental Health
Haven't been around the forum much! Partly because I haven't been playing much video games (my schedule was awful and I was exhausted most nights). But also depression was making it hard to do anything, even if it the thing I wanted to do was fun! Back in March, I hit what was the lowest point of de...

I made some of those "for studying" music playlists videos. They're mainly for me to listen to at work or while reading, and they're more based on my own nostalgia/tastes, but I figured I'd shamelessly share! PS2 games https://youtu.be/m4pMZfNY99Y N64 games https://youtu.be/4CkExKXP9A4 Ind...

Re: Whatcha Been Watching?
I started King of the Hill recently. I never watched it growing up, since I didn't get the humor when I was younger and found it dull compared to the Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy at the time. But now I'm old and worldly, so the humor is landing for me! It's been very funny and has had me cracki...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Besides lots of Marvel Snap (glad the iPhone doesn't tell me the amount of hours played), I recently started a new Stardew Valley game. I never finished the community center in my first playthrough and I found I had almost no memory of what I was doing when I revisited that farm. So new farm time! E...
