Re: 349: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (Biohazard 7: Resident Evil)

Very interesting. Ksub you’ve just reeled off my favourites in the series so I’m a bit worried I’ll feel the same!!

Just out of interest did you play it in VR?

Also if it wasn’t called resident evil 7 would you feel the same? (Pointless question because it is but I’d be interested to know)

Re: Games Completed 2018

I haven’t posted my completed games on here yet. Been trying to play along with the podcasts and I’ve now comfortably raced ahead mainly due to skipping the final fantasy games. Sympathies for those down to do the final fantasy podcasts. January 2018: Bleed Crackdown Rez Infinite Resident evil direc...

Re: What Remains Of Edith Finch [SPOILERS]

I’m glad you started this thread. I was pretty convinced that it would be on the podcast list for this year and give me an excuse to replay it. I definitely didn’t see the end coming either and felt a bit stupid because even the title gives it away. I’m glad you didn’t spot it either. Overall I thou...

That was brilliant.

A piece of genius art.

I loved it.

Re: Jan. 2018 update

I agree. I decided to cancel a couple of magazine subscriptions as I was barely reading them instead I switched to the Patreon instead.

This is a fantastic podcast and I am happy I can support its continuation.

Re: 336: Resident Evil 4 (Biohazard 4)

Great post Ksub! In my opinion Resident Evil 4 (second only to metal gear solid) may well be the perfect video game. I remember at the time of my first playthrough when the game first came out that I thought all the hype was justified. It was a revelation. The pacing, boss fights and sheer variety w...

Re: 310: BioShock Infinite

I want to thank the previous contributors to this thread because when I first played this game I did not acknowledge some of the more important aspects of its narrative. I played it as a fictional story set in a fictional world and I think I completely missed some of the more sensitive perhaps contr...

Re: Our next podcast recording (4.3.18) - 309: Yoshi’s Woolly World

The main difficulty with offering my views on this game are that I am clearly not the target demographic. So I have offered my opinion then that of my 3 year old son. Personally I found playing the single player mode a relatively dull experience. It takes too long to introduce new challenges or mech...

Re: The Shenmue trilogy

I’ve never played any of the trilogy but pledged in a pretty big way for the third game during my kickstarter addiction year! I’ve got a copy of the second game on Xbox but don’t have any way of playing the original beyond either getting hold of a Dreamcast or emulating it. I’m historically pretty a...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

After a considerable amount of a break from the first game, I'm maybe half way through my first play-through of Steins;Gate 0 on the Vita. I loved the first game and am probably halfway through this one but I’ve found it vastly inferior so far. I think it comes down to the seemingly absent interact...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

I can't quite bring myself to play any of the modern Wolfensteins - I don't really do first person shootybangs of any sort unless someone can really sell them to me! I had the same feeling until I was stuck babysitting my niece and nephew with a copy of the new order in front of me. I genuinely tho...

Re: 326: Hyper Light Drifter

I’m not sure how I feel about Hyper Light Drifter. On the one hand the visuals and audio are sublime. The gameplay on the other hand is a mixed bag. There are times where it is fantastic and I can zip around a room clearing it of enemies without receiving a single hit. However on another occasion I ...
