Re: Death Stranding

I still have monster cans and am on chapter 3. I have no urgency to get through the game as I am enjoying it so much. I don’t know what’s a spoiler but I’ll hide this anyway I’ve been enjoying supporting other players. Delivering supplies, completing and upgrading their structure and paving my way a...

Re: 398: Planescape: Torment

Planescape: Torment has always been on my backlog so I was pleased to see it on this years playlist so I could give it a whirl. The elevator pitch for this game sounds fantastic and pretty much ticks every box required to get me interested. In truth I really wish I never started it and It’s been the...

Re: Forum Changelog and Forum Suggestions

Works fine for me on iOS with safari too.

I’d love to be able to upload photos from my phone directly so that would be a feature which would be nice albeit a luxury.

Re: Help my son win a Switch lite and Pokemon Sword/Shield!

Agreed. A bit of early Christmas spirit.

My Noah aged 4.75 said we must win it for other Noah and has gone to bed happy now. When I got home from work the first thing he asked me was if you won it?

Delighted for you.

Re: Death Stranding

I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s so satisfying. It appeals to so many parts of my gaming brain and finishing the final part of someone else’s delivery is immensely gratifying. There’s nothing else like it.

I’m addicted to the gameplay loop. I also really really like the social/asynchronous multiplayer elements.

Re: Death Stranding

I was into this. Then hearing a lot of the Giant Bomb crew kind of destroy it and build it up really confused me. Now all you lot saying all this good stuff about it has got me interested again. Giant Bomb are an oddity to me. I used to love their game of the year marathons but the team sometimes h...

Re: Death Stranding

On the whole i’d agree with opening few hours being quite linear but the thing that struck me the most is how nothing is dumbed down. It throws information and concepts at you in a way which would alienate anyone not used to playing games. It’s fine by me but the narrative and setting is interesting...

Re: Death Stranding

My collectors edition arrived and it’s a monster. The box is about twice the size of the console. It screams premium and I almost don’t want to open it. It’s my son’s school’s fireworks night tonight and I’ve got an early start so might not get to play it but pleased with my purchases (or their boxe...

Re: The videogame music thread (also Sound of Play submissions)

I’ve got goosebumps thinking about tomorrow and the release of Death Stranding. It’s a little irrational but my love for Hideo Kojima games is unparalleled and a new series with the shackles of Konami off fills me with excitement. Here’s one from Phantom Pain by Ludvig Forssell and another by him f...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?

A little bit of Tapas for me. Some metagame Phantom Pain alongside Rhythm Paradise on Wii and trying to finish up Driver San Francisco after 5+ years of chipping away at it. My wife is loathing the CRT being out but rhythm action games on previous gen are impossible on the LED tv. On the 7th set of ...
