Re: PlayStation 4

Really liking the PS4 so far! Glad I did pick one up in the end (wasn't going to collect my pre-order so went in yesterday to cancel but coupled with the time it took to get there and the fantastic staff at GAME decided to say 'fuck it' and pick it up)... It was a massive, and awesome, surprise to ...

I'd be up for this. Did some multiplayer with the Nerdjackers community and was great fun!

Re: Gunpoint

Really enjoyed it!

Always like having the ability to turn off any light in stealth games so having the ability to re-wire lights, switches etc. was great! Writing and music were also excellent :)

Re: Titanfall

Very interested in this! Liked the mix of mech, on-foot and jetpack/parkour combat. The SP/MP mix sounds like it could be interesting, just depends how much of it is repeated (if there's a set 'story' to each map and that shows up in rotation a lot - could get tedious!)

Re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

First XCOM game I've played... While the story is largely nonexistent (only really there to link the main combat missions) the mechanics really shine. Lots of tactical options with each turn with repercussions if you make an error. Perma-death of your soldiers makes sure you're careful when position...

Re: BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite

Ok, it's 3 am and (barring around 1/2 an hour to recover) I've just finished Infinite. Played it for the last 5 hours... which I don't think I've ever done with another game (disability gives me bad back pain if I play for more than 2 hours). But was motivated by the story and characters to play pas...

Re: BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite

Right, just seen talk about recording Bioshock 2 show tomorrow so need to get my thoughts down... Bioshock 2: While there are improvements over the first game I still enjoy that more overall. The combat is definitely improved over the first game. The ability to have a weapon in one hand and plasmid ...

Re: C&R Game Night 1st March - StarCraft II: Wings of Libert

I should be on. Haven't played in ages (stopped soon after launch) but some games sound like fun, once I've worked out how to play again ;)

Think my battle.net ID is Legoftime#2215
Think I'm looking in the right place to find it!

Re: All things StarCraft

I've not played since it was released but... I tried the multiplayer but was awful at it (I play RTS games slowly, which doesn't play well online)! So not played much. The Singleplayer I really enjoyed. I'm glad they split up the game into three (one per race) as it seemed to lead to a more in depth...

Re: BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite

Bioshock: My favourite game this gen. The first time I swam to the lighthouse and descended to Rapture was a magnificent moment in gaming. The city is visually and conceptually impressive and is one of the main reasons I love this game. The atmosphere of Rapture is excellent, the mix of sound effect...

Re: PlayStation Plus

Started Bioshock 2 this afternoon. Only about an hour in but I'm loving it so far. I was a bit worried because although overall I did like the first game I thought it was much too long and I'd become really bored of Rapture by the time I had finished it. That doesn't seem to have affected this thou...

Re: Eternal Sunshine of the Gaming Mind

My list:

1. Bioshock - the ability to rediscover that twist would be excellent!

2. Mass Effect 1 - my favourite of the series, being able to be reintroduced to that universe.

3. KOTOR - again, like Bioshock, would be great to rediscover the twist!

Re: What would you omit from a game?

Quick-time-events...Specifically ones where you have to mash a button to not die. I've got problems with manual dexterity so using a controller can sometimes be painful, but having to mash a button very quickly or I lose the game is even more painful! A notable recent example - The Walking Dead. Had...
