Re: Your Favourite Game! (per console)
This hurts, but here we go. Limiting this to exclusives, because multiplatform releases complicate this. (or exclusive at time of release at least) Excellent point. Should include this to exclusives only where possible. Obviously with the current gaming climate not always possible. But certainly th...

Your Favourite Game! (per console)
I am sure that all of us have that one perfect game. A game that we could return to without question. Something that resonates within our hearts and minds and never fails to impress us. A game that is held tightly within the grips of nostalgia, which reminds us of better times, simpler times, or jus...

Re: 437: Prince of Persia (Classic)
Might be missing the version for this but I did have Prince of Persia for the Sega Megadrive back in the early 90s. This was one of a few games I had, which included Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 and Aladdin. So going from the speed of Sonic to this was something my young mind couldn't quite handle. ...

Re: Our next Final Fantasy podcast recording (10.8.19) - 382: Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy 12 was and still is one of my favourite in the series. But, I'm not entirely sure why... With others in the series (6 onwards) I can clearly pinpoint the elements that made those entries such wonderful games. From 6s villain Kefka, 7s wonderful materia system, 8s heartfelt portrayal o...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Apologies if already added to the list but this was a cult classic from my youth. Chase The Express Not sure how this one popped into my mind and I know no one else who ever played or owned this game. I remember playing this game and enjoying it greatly during my infatuation of games such as Residen...

370: Ape Escape
I feel this would be of some interest to the panel for the up-and-coming episode surrounding Ape Escape.
Essentially "Ape Escape 1.5: Monkey Pants Vacuum Bonanza"... Enjoy, or not...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Not even the camera? I agree, there were instances of manic camera positioning. During the fighting sequences I felt they worked as it would often exaggerate the insanity of some of the fights. During the 'downtime' (walk to next battle arena) the camera would at times decide it wanted me to jump o...

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Yeah I missed out on that one, too. I own the first game for PS3 but never played more than ten minutes or so of it. I'm keeping an eye out for the double pack to be cheap on Switch. As I gradually step away from PC gaming, the Switch will be my next purchase. I just miss games that know they are g...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Would love to see a Timesplitters series. Especially with the fan development of Timesplitters: Rewind in the works. Great party game with a huge character roster, enjoyable single player and a game for completionists with multiple game modes.

Re: Whatcha Been Playing?
Just got myself into the glory that is Bayonetta for PC (I think im a bit late to the party...) and am absolutely loving it. There is nothing about the game that I find myself unsure of, and is the first game in a long time, where when I turn it off, cannot wait to return. The characters are bizarre...

Re: 370: Ape Escape
This is written purely from memory having not played it in over 15 years although I would love to return to the series again. I remember playing Ape Escape with a friend when the game came out and being mesmerised by the mandatory use of the DualShock controller. The bright, vibrant and wonderfully ...

Re: 373: Final Fantasy X
I am a new listener to the incredible Cane and Rinse podcast and am playing the biggest game of catch up by listening to the immense content that you have created over the years. Not necessarily in order, which in a way is symbolic of my relationship with Final Fantasy in general. That said, having ...
