Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
All added! Actually I just checked and… yeah Metal Arms and Scaler are fine (played on Gamecube) but I was wrong about Pac Man World 2, that game is not really fit for a podcast. I guess this is the first time somebody asked for their submission to be deleted so just a quick explanation: being a 3d...

Re: Game suggestions for the podcast
Scaler Metal Arms: Glitch in the System Both are very well done as games and relatively obscure / forgotten. Personally I'd like to hear more about games like these: really solid stuff, well crafted (doesn't mean it doesn't have problems or design decisions worth discussing), not that well known (r...

Re: Games Completed 2020
Played through Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland once, got a bad ending. What a nice game, some parts are a bit irritating but it's quite funny in a way. The game does require a bit of proper attention (you have to remember certain things like locations for digging, what potion to bring to whom), this was a b...

Re: Shmups
…That Sisters Royale that Stanshall was talking about is coming to ps4, xbox January 30th next year and pc "later", looks alright to me. Was planning to buy it "when I have a bit of time" so of course I ended up not buying it :P (predictable eh?) I really like the colors and art...

Re: Retro gaming
Mole Mania So I've been playing a bit of Mole Mania on the GameBoy recently. … I played it too (on 3DS, would have preferred it on a cart/GBA but got it from eShop in the end) and it is pretty good! Burrowing through the ground is indeed great fun! Admittedly it doesn't add that much to the game bu...

Re: Shameless Self Promotion
I took a look, but stopped watching after the 3rd ad in first less than ten minutes (around one ad per 3 minutes, no thanks). Anyway, what I managed to see was not bad at all. I felt the quick cuts (near the beginning, where you talk about other games) are too fast / abrupt.

Re: Shmups
Ray, your avatar looks like a little cock and balls all dressed up. What the hell is it? Ha ha not really. I was copying somebody's (can't remember who was it) drawing (who was in turn I think copying Moebius), maybe if you see it bigger it won't trigger such associations: https://imgur.com/f46r7Ae...

Re: Shmups
As an aside, I think I'd really enjoy a scrolling twin stick shooter. Does such a thing exist? Did Guardian Force (Arcade / Saturn) use a separate controller for shooting? If so then I guess it'd qualify. Maybe Cannon Spike? (Can't remember which control scheme that one used.) There are quite a few...

Re: Shmups
LOL, I paid 15 for the eShop version and quite like it. It's very much a slow paced, strategic, player controlled scrolling affair and while I'm not necessarily the greatest fan of the card deck power-up system, it is kind of interesting. You get these funny moments where you burn through a few car...

Re: Shmups
Any of yallz played Iuchi’s Kokuga on 3DS? Whaddyamean, no? I did. It is really, really bafflingly bad. Hard to say what exactly makes it so because it's a case of "lots of small things" and how they interact. I don't mind the weird level selection system, the slow tank movement, the abst...

Re: Explain your user name and avatar
It's just my real name, simple enough. Current profile image is something I drew a long time ago while practicing. I think I copied somebody who was in turn probably trying to copy Moebius – something like that, it was a long time ago.
